Hey all,

It recently came upon me, as a beginner enthusiast, to make my own guitars. Except for the odd few that do, most of the guitars are bland, keeping the same style. It bothers me how I can't find a decent looking guitar.

So I came up with these designs:

Hellraiser

I personally like it, but this version is a little sloppy. The pickups are not detailed, the top of the neck near the nut needs to be redone, and last but not least, it needs a color scheme! I'm thinking Neon Red gradients on a black background with the words "Hell Razer" going up the neck.

Also, it lacks other functions a guitar should come with (Volume knob, Tone knobs and switch, etc.)

Serenity and Tartarus

These two almost got deleted again. Last night I had been working on them and when I did the lettering, Flash decided it doesn't like the clipboard and closed the program, causing me to lose all my work. Regardless, I've been saving this second time around and came out with these.

Tartarus is a regular held seven string. I found it fitting (7 layers of hell, of course ), but I also wanted a guitar I could hold like an ML, the bottom sitting on my knee rather than the sides. It does, of course, have a thread where you can attach a cusion if you so wish to play it that way, but it's a matter of preference.

Serenity was the original idea behind both of the guitars. I wanted something that looked kind of like a whisp, but with a jagged side to it. Like Tartarus, it has a thread for a cushion for resting on your knee, but unlike Tartarus that is the only way to rest it while sitting down

The other thing that makes this guitar cool is that it's LEFTY Thats right, left handed players will be able to play a fancy lookin guitar. And, of course, this won't be the only design to be lefty as I'll either make modifications to other guitar designs to make them lefty, or just make them purely left handed

Leviathan

Ok, so this is my shot at a bass. I asked a bassist I know what he wanted in a bass, and his preference was something he could take to a gig as a stand-up bass.

Thus, Leviathan was the result.

Aside from the in-proportionate angles and fretless necks and such, he loved this bass because of it's design. He asked for something that looked like it was going to jump out at you and kill you in your sleep, so...This is how it turned out

I like the fact that the tuner pegs are at the top. Unusual from what I've seen normally but I'm sure the design exists on other bass'.

Phoenix

I have tried so long to get a winged guitar design, it took me almost 3 weeks to finally get it right. As you can see, it looks somewhat like a Phoenix, but it originally started under the premise of looking angelic. When the wings were finished, I didn't like them too much, but I rotated them 180 and saw the Phoenix so I immediately began to work on it.

The only thing I dislike about this is that it is supposed to be a Bass. I added the 6 strings to see how it would look as a guitar, and it's not bad really so I'm just going to revise the Headstock to accommodate 4 strings. Nothing major, just that and add some pickups to the design

EDIT: Almost completely redesigned it, and added some color. I want a red satin finish on it, but I can't draw it out just right...

Anyways, I like the headstock but it needs to be resized. So tell me what you guys think!

I'll be posting more as I go along, but this one is all I got for now.

There's some things you overlooked on your designs, where are the knobs and pickup selectors? oh and what kind of bridges will these guitars have, floating or fixed?

Other then that though, those are some cool designs.

I hadn't put them in there because in the end, I might change my mind as to where they are located. As of now, I think the locations for the knobs and switches on Tartarus and Serenity will be on the left and right, respectively, beside the bridge. For the Hellraiser, I would imagine them to be in the top right corner.

The bridges are just going to be solid pieces of steel or plastic raising the strings up.

EDIT: Added Leviathan
