Got any favorite playing card games? I just got back from summer camp and it's like all that we do between merit badges. Here are some troop favorites:
Euchre
Egyptian Ratscrew
BS
Speed

Euchre and ERS being by far my personal favorites.

Spit, Poker, Mao, Solitaire, Fish, Rummy, and Old Maid.

I used to play Spit a lot during summer camp, what insane fun that was!

Mao is a very frustrating to play, but you can get used to it.

Rummy is a pure classic, used to play that a lot.

My favorite is the Thunder Game:

The deck is made of as many squares (4 of a kind) as there are players. Everything else is put aside. You need easily grabbable (word doesn't exist) tokens (9V batteries, dices, wooden cubes, etc), one less than the number of players, à la Musical Chairs. Shuffle the cards, deal 4 cards to each player. Then, someone is chosen to be the "caller". Each time the caller says the signal (can be "go" or anything else), take a card from your hand that is not needed to form a square, and slam it to the player on your left (or right, whatever is decided beforehand). As soon as someone obtains a square, he takes a token in the middle, and when he does so, all other players must quickly take one as well, regardless of their hand. The player without a token loses, either a point or anything else...

Note that it's preferable, when the cards are slammed, to synchronize as much as possible (thus, the "thunder"), so that it's fair for everyone when it's time to check the new card and see if you have a square. Better played on a round table...

Hours of fun for the whole family...

Strategy card games are the best. Bullshit, Asshole, Crazy 8's, Blackjack, Poker (Not Texas Hold 'Em, the traditional game), Go Fish, etc...I actually never played anything but those games in me life, they're the best.

Aye, I'm a fan of card games, being a Boy Scout too. Personal favorites are Egyptian Ratscrew, Spades, Spoons, maybe Mafia, and I guess War. I'm really good at all of them, hardly ever lose. Except war. Eh.

As for "Trading Card Games", I guess Pokemon? Never actually gave any of them a try exceot Yu-Gi-Oh, and Pokemon .

Uh, Poker, Solitaire, War, Uno, and other random games I can't bother to remember the name.

Trading Card Games? Um, nothing, really.

I used to play card games back in my teenager years.

I just collect Pokémon cards for my own sake and I used to play Yu-Gi-Oh. Now that I'm an adult, I don't play card games anymore and my money is being wasted at the same time.

I need a good paying job to continue my duel monsters hobby.

Being a communist, I used to play this game a lot and even introduced it successfully to some of my German-speaking peer groups.

Funny, I was just going to mention that durak and blackjack were my favorite two.

All hail mother russia!

Screw trading cards, used to play yugioh or whatever, realized it was retarded.

My favorite is Cribbage, but I also play Black Jack, and the occasional game of 5-card poker. Golf is also a great game, but it's been ages since I've played it.
