So, is anyone doing anything with their dad's today? I'm going out for breakfast with my dad later. I wanted to get him a gift but I didn't have any money.

I'm thinking about just organizing my dad's digital CD collection. It's simple, but it could save him so much hassle...

Just now on the phone.

Dad: So, me and your grandmother were just discussing your upcoming birthday...
Me: Speaking of celebrations, the Internet reminded me earlier that today's Father's Day. Congrats.
Dad: It's surprising to hear you say that on your own accord.
Me: Except I just implied it wasn't. Anyway...

Here, it already was celebrated quite a while ago.

It shows an interesting outlook on Christianity here that one of the key events in its clerical calendar is celebrated by approximately half of the population getting drunk and being general douchebags.

My brother's working today, so we celebrated yesterday by taking my dad out to eat as soon as I got home from Summer Camp. Hurray for Chinese food, which he really seems to love for some reason.

Today we gave him some presents. He's been working out in the yard a lot, so we got him a weed whacker, and some clippers.

That's why we have Saint Patrick's Day on this side of the lake.

Since my dad is a numismatist (coin collector and enthusiast), I made him a SMB style question block with a coin sticking out of it. If I get a chance I'll take a picture.

The box looks similar to this:

and the coin looks similar to this:

For Mother's Day I made my mom a potted Fire Flower.
