Last view: 5329 days 		Having read the tutorials that come to hand, it seems there is no mention of inserting music into a hacked game so far... Presumably it *is* possible to do, but I have no idea how much more tricky it is.

Are there any music hackers out there that like the look of Sendy's World and would be willing to help out? I've nearly finished most of world 2 now and will post screenshots when I get some time (prolly tonite).

Last night I spent a couple of hours downloading from the music section and making a shortlist of my favourite themes, and somehow the vanilla SMW music seems rather dull now :>

I'm pretty sure that MiOr/Romi's addmusic can be added at anytime.

If I recall correctly, addmusic has to be added in before you make any changes to the ROM.

In theory, there's nothing speaking against it being possible; the two possible collisions to occur I can think of would be any data related to the music change being written somewhere where LM or anything else has placed data (while the spot was previously clean; can be avoided by picking a sufficiently high destination spot for any replacement data/code) and random corruption happening if the patch also tries to swap around the individual levels' song IDs in case the replacement songs' ID layout is much different (if the level headers change positions at all; I'm not that sure about that anymore, sadly).

Your safest bet overall though is to just extract levels, data, etc, an then just reinsert them in a ROM you've already given the music treatment to. Ideally you've kept track of all the changes you've made to the ROM already, so there won't be any issues with unturned stones...
