Last view: 227 days 		I'm trying to use voice changer software to change my voice for a flash animation, but windows vista won't let me switch out my microphone drivers.
I want to use my built-in microphone with my voice changing drivers, but I can't seem to figure it out.vista problem

Where do you change it on here?

Wouldn't the canonical way to change any driver be in the device manager rather than in the sound config?

Also, it's very plausible that the microphone is driven by your soundcard driver rather than an individual one.

I really don't know why they did this to vista. I want to change drivers like you could in XP.

Last view: 3222 days 		Uhm, it's rather easy to change drivers in Vista. Device Manager->Hardware you want to change the driver on -> Update Driver.

And, uh, Microphones don't have drivers. Sound cards do, but not microphones. That would be why you can't change the driver on the mic.
