So I found my birth certificate while going through some old stuff today.

I was born at 3:17 AM.
I weighed 6lbs 11oz.
I was 19in tall.

This reminded me of some things I was told about my birth.

I was said to be premature by 6 weeks. I was born with breathing problems and was in ICU for two weeks.

The weird thing is, my mom was pregnant right before she got pregnant with me but had a miscarriage. I was born the week the other baby would have been. Coincidence, or did I have a twin? You decide!

So, care to share your welcome to the world?

3:32 AM, 7/16. About one month late.

That's all I remember, and I don't have easy access to my birth certificate. =/

I was born at 8:23 AM on 4/6. That's all the information I have even with my birth certificate.

I was born at 12:15 AM.

Fun fact: there were so many boys born the same weekend as me that the hospital ran out of blue blankets and had to use pink blankets for some of the boys.

I was born 4/17/89 at 9:12 pm
I was 7 lbs 6 oz
I was 1 day early ;D

It is also a fun fact about my birth that my mom was in labor for a total of about 25 minutes, much to the alarm of the doctor. He rushed in and was trying to prepare as quickly as possible, and it's always a joke that he nearly dropped me because I was so quick to enter the world.

I was born 6 weeks early.
I don't know many other details, really, nor where my birth certificate actually is.

...
Is there really a need for a birth certificate, anyway?
"Well, I was born. You see, I have proof, and that's this certificate. Otherwise, you might not be able to tell I was ever born."

They're important moreso to prove that you are who you say you are, and that you were born in the country you claim you're born in, and that you're the age you claim you are.

I don't think anyone who asks for your birth certificate is actually questioning your existance

I was born around 05:00 on 1987-07-19 (8 days late). I sometimes joke that I should move to Australia so that I have a winter birthday like everyone else, because like 90% of my friends and 100% of my family has a birthday between November and March.

I was 3.6 kg at birth (7 lbs 15 oz, but I prefer the metric system). I don't know my birth height though, I'd have to ask my mom, not like she remembers.

I have no Idea about my birthexcept:

I was born while Star Trek: NextGeneration was on
I was attempting to hang myself in the womb with ambilacle cord...(I kid you not, this is true...)
As for how fat I was or how tall... I have no Idea, I'd have to ask my parents.

I was born while Star Trek: NextGeneration was on

Supposedly my mom went into labour during an episode of Star Trek, and my dad really didn't want something as important as Star Trek interrupted by something piddly like a baby. I don't know how that meshes with me having been born in the early morning though. I guess she was in labour for several hours?

*knows very little about the birthing process*

I was born three months early and weighed just 2 pounds and 10 ounces; 15 inches tall (or 'long', considering how they carry newborns). Had to go in an incubator for a few weeks; without 20th-century technology I wouldn't have made it!

I wish I was born during Star Trek!

(I know little about my process.)

6:28 P.M. on January 8, 1979 (a week late)
22 inches long
9 pounds, ~5 ounces

I was hyoooge. Early on, the doctor thought my mom might be pregnant with twins.

The exact numbers are on a plaque on the wall of my old bedroom at my mom's house. Because I haven't lived at home for almost a decade, that room has become a second bedroom with some of my stuff still in it. I wonder if the plaque is still there.

Why do people use the word "home" to refer to their parents' house even after they move out?

Home is where your mom is.

But yeah, I don't know much about any of my births.

Maybe I'll be able to tell you all how the next one works out?
