Been using Galabadia Hotel for my vgm needs for almost a year now. I was quite impressed with their collection what I first found it back in May of last year. If they don't have a soundtrack I'm looking for, chances are that their forum will have what I'm looking for.

Considering VGM is MUCH more superior... I'd suggest Project 2612 for MegaDrive VGMs, and SMS Power for SMS/GG ones.

It's not that hard. You always have Zophar's as a last result anyway =P

With that said, Galbadia Hotel is excellent for streamed audio game rips, and various obscure game OSTs. Pity they don't have batch downloading, though.

Or if you need soundtracks from the few consoles that don't have emulated sound rips yet (like Gamecube, Nintendo DS, XBox and the new generation), then there isn't much choice

I didn't know about that site and it's been years since I last looked for MP3 game soundtracks, but it does seem to have a lot ...

Yea, they were one of the few direct DL sites that had Valkyrie Profile 2 and Yggdra Union's AST off-hand.

Sucks that they don't support download accelerators. Last I checked I couldn't get anything off there.

Once they get beatmania IIDX Gold put up, I'm heading straight for GOLD RUSH!

But yeah, they have lots of other game soundtracks up. If I can get access to the original format of a song (like spcs and such) I'll head to those formats, but for the newer stuff, I'll go there.

I agree. I became a member there pretty recently. I just need a sig to post that one link in so I can get mass-downloads more easily.

As for beatmania and shit, they have tons of music from those.

I agree with you, I like using mp3s to burn to CDs so I can listen to them in the car.

Another reason I like mp3s is because I'm too lazy to change the song if I'm listening to .spc files. That's why I have a huge playlist of over 1,000 mp3 files so that I don't have to worry about changing the song because it does it by itself.

Some of the GCN music formats have been cracked, actually, but not all. Unfortunately, the extensions are somewhat commonly used (DSP and ADX especially; ADP and AFC not so much).

And yes, Galbadia Hotel is awesome. They've got some scattered anime soundtracks on there, too, if that's your thing.

Something similar, Protoman.com's music and stuff. And this site -used- to have a ton of stuff, seems like they took a lot down (used to have Orchestral Game Concert and other various cool stuff).

I'm pretty surprised a lot of you are just now discovering Galbadia, I've known about it for years ...
