I know exactly what you mean about feeling old.
I'm only 18, and people mistake me for 19-20 all the time. I know it's only one to two years, but I hate hearing that I look older than I am.

I was at a football game last night, and a woman mistook me for someone in college, and when she found out I was 16, she told me I'd look 21 when I'm 18. I don't think it's a very bad thing
