Yeah a new problem.

Every one in a blue moon there is a pop up/ad on the bottomright of the screen, that is supposed to look like an MSN message. I hover my mouse over it and it says it's from adultfriendfinder.

How the fuck do I remove this?
Swore I scanned all my shit before opening them.
Then again I ran mcafee and malwarebyte and they don't pick it up.

If any of you know, how serious is this virus?
It only malforms a webpage at least one time a day, maybe twice randomly.

Is it aligned to the taskbar or is it in a browser window?

EDIT: reason I ask is that I get it too, repeatedly, and always on the same couple of sites (shitty advertising setup, whee!)

Try a spyware/adware detector... This is obviously not a 'virus' per se and thus is unlikely to be detected by virus scanners.

I think it started when I "installed" game maker.

Could you elaborate on what spyware scanners are top notch?

I haven't really cared for awhile, but last I checked Spybot and Adaware were generally considered the best ones.

I found "Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware" pretty reliable, despite it's fairly stupid name.

Downloaded that and it didn't delete it.
However, after using spybot, I have not seen that stupid fake msn message popup with some fake hooker trying to contact me anymore, at least for today.

Well, I found the anti-malware tool fine for cleaning up remains of some malware that I incorrectly cleaned up.

Anti mal is good but it's just not catching it.
I hope it's not something serious but it's not doing anything that bad besides really really rare ads unnaturally on a page.

It's still doing it too, so I guess it's not spyware.

If it's adware, try Spybot, it's a nice little program that catches stuff that Adaware does not.

If it's a virus, I would reccomend running Avast.

I would say Avira, except for the fact that Avira has a pop up of it's OWN every time it updates your data files.
