Spiny I've had enough of your garbage. Get out. Level: 53 Posts: 520/578 EXP: 1101078 Next: 56041 Since: 02-19-07 Last post: 5382 days Last view: 4302 days |
I need a hobby. Something to keep myself occupied with, and I'd love to be a writer. But I find myself at a loss because my interest is in video games.
Is there anyone interested in assembling a team of staff to build Acmlm's reputation back up? It's obvious what kind of people we need, but if such a team were assembled can it bear the logo of Acmlm? I know I can write with the best of them out there. And obviously, we would pick the people with the craziest imaginations on this board like me, Stark, Kawa, or Knuck (Or anyone else deemed crazy enough, to be negotiated obviously) to be writers. Those are my picks, people I would want writing with me personally. We've got music down pat, as I've got recording software for guitar, and a virtual mixing station all on my computer. For people involved, I would nominate myself (I have a flair for composition) first but only because I haven't really taken a look into the arts forum to make a pick. Also, anyone familiar with a midi program or a keyboard could easily do the rest, by themselves or performing music we put together. Spriting is a challenge, but anyone can draw sprites (And I mean anyone, if I can sprite anyone can) if they actually apply and/or learn from others on that team. Graphically, I always envisioned an open environment like the world map of FF3 to be drawn out in completion first, then tiled and assembled as a map. I think it makes the detail more rich, so long as it can stay within the color boundaries and capabilities of the system in question. Coding is the hardest part, I think. I can design a program to function as a good programming tool, but when it comes to coding it...I have no experience in any language whatsoever. I wish I did, but if assemblers are fine by the coders then so be it. Regardless of whatever I missed, is there anyone interested? If people can deliver with functionality, I can promise the above people I mentioned can deliver story wise. I just know these things |
