I'll use Linux because my computer is so powerful, 100MHz processor and 80mb SDRAM, and runs faster than winblows vista on 2ghz machine, oh and my machine can run Notepad and Paintbrush too .

I call shenagigans. Last time I ran Notepad on Linux it was slow as shit.

Use of Wine implied.

Edit: On a two ghz machine!

Even linux is pretty useless with 100Mhz, especially since you don't get the opportunity of playing old DOS/win3.1 games. You'd be able to browse the web in elinks and play random X11 games from 1997.

EDIT: As for the modern and powerful tools I use, I have a intel core i7 920 based computer running gentoo linux amd64.

Y'have to admit, it makes an adequate webserver.

Not a very efficient server, as far as power consumption goes. 100Mhz computers are unfortunately not too useful, nowadays, unless you have nothing better. In which case, install MSDOS 6.22.

I have a 4000+ AMD Athlon™ 64X2 Processor (2.2GHz), 2GB RAM, 320GB Hardrive.

I have a piece of shit 6150 NVidia graphics card >.<

...And Vista.

EDIT: Oh, I open 10 windows at once and it still doesn't slow my computer down, for some reason...okay, it depends on what I open.

I'm rocking an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 with 4GB DDR2 RAM, and a graphics card that I don't remember the specs too, all connected to a majestic 17 Inch COMPAQ monitor that's at least over a decade old...

It even runs Notepad++

I have a system with 4GB RAM & an Athlon 64 X2 3800+, running Gentoo AMD64. It is about 4 years old, but it still runs just fine. I was planning on getting a new computer, oogling all the new stuff, but I cannot justify spending the money to upgrade right now.

I hate it how QBASIC runs so slow under DOSemu on 64-bit, although I suppose that taught me to prototype things in a more powerful language. (Haskell, since I still dislike C/C++.)

I tried installing the Windows 7 alpha, but it did not support half my USB devices, so I used it to play a Flash game that somehow crashes under Linux & then have not used it since. I used to think Windows was great. I suppose it is great relative to MS-DOS, but I preferred the MS-DOS SHELL, as long as nothing crashed.

I use my TI-89 Titanium a lot, & I hope to use it more once I get a WiFi driver written for it. That might be a while from now.

I dual-boot with XP and Vista 64 ultimate.

Processor: Intel Core™ 2 Duo E8600 3,33GHz
Memory: OCZ DDR2 PC8500 4GB KIT, Reaper HPC. I know they're 1066, at least.
Graphics card: GeForce® 280 GTX 1024MB DDR3 XT.
