Ok, thanks Ailure. What kind I needed was presignals. Now my trains won't crash into each other at the stations. ____________________ What FF7: Advent Children Character Are You? |

But it quickly leads to some redundancy. You probably would seen a lot more redundancy and waste-space if I built over 100 trains without using signals. <<
But they're not really that hard to figure out how they work, as long you don't dig into pre-signals too early. I seen way too many people misunderstanding what pre-signals are used for, and even put exit-signals where they shouldn't be put on and such. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

I probably use UKRS as usual, but just posting alternatives just in case.
Hmmm... I'm gonna run and try the Japan trainset now. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Posted by Ailure Heh, look up 'Extended Cargo Scheme' in google. That's even better Soemwhere in that thread in Tt-forums there's a picture of the scheme, the one with '10' appended to it is win. |

Actually, some of the industries are probably more highly producing than the factory ingame. I don't think they won't make it harder, as you can always put severeal secondary factories together apparently if one is really overloaded.
And already heard about ECS, heh. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

You might want to think about using r9525 or later. Looks like they fix'd the airport deletion bug. They haven't said anything about autoreplace, but since it's not even very prevalent in r9476, I doubt it'll be a problem.
As for the rest of those sets, I have no problem with whichever set you choose for the game. I especially like the notion of the secondary industries set... ____________________ My current complication: Girl's name who gets no more than 10 minutes of screen time in the actual game. |

I used an installer for 0.5.1 RC2, but the file sample.cat was nowhere in it...
Is there a place I can get it at? |

Flurry #&postrank& Posted by MaxKnightA better example would be this, this or even this ... I really should take the time to learn it one day, though ____________________ |

15 million income per year? Aw man, that shows how much I suck at this game. I get 50k a year if I'm lucky. But I've only been playing on 64x64 sized maps vs. computer players. ____________________ What FF7: Advent Children Character Are You? |

Flurry #&postrank& I even got 40 million/year on Ailure's last one, but mostly from planes (as they got faster):

You should go and learn signals though. Since like, creating a line for each train get's old quickly when you do it over long distances. And it takes a lot of space too.
Heh, I was holding back a bit on that last game. I was waiting on people to catch up, then just went for getting max score, but due to me moving the HQ I got a quarter with loss... which resulted me losing 50 points. If I didn't lose those points, I probably would have gotten max score. :/ Oh yeah, I think we should use latest nightly again. Becuse the fatal bug that caused the server to crash now and then is fixed. It's now safe to remove airports again. One thing that looks funny in this game is that sometimes, it's hard to see which houses that belongs to which city. :p Edit: Also Acmlm, I recommend you to exprimentate around in single player. If you hold down Ctrl+alt+c (or Ctrl+alt+windows+c if Ctrl+alt+c dosen't work) a cheat menu will pop up. The money cheat is useful for experimentation, such as whenever I screw around with game mechanics. Although remember that it obviously won't work in multiplayer. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

This just blows my mind...
It's a change in todays nightly. The following change summarizes pretty well: -Codechange: Add the notion of Industry behaviour. It means what an industry can do (plant fields, cut trees, do not change production), what can be done to it (disasters like mine subsidence, jet/chopper attack), when it can be built etc... Also, airport deletion bug has been -Fix(FS#640,r8755): Implemented a "dummy" State Machine for stations who got their airport removed while there were still aircraft within the State Machine (and thus caused asserts) I think we should look at nightlies no earlier than r9525. ____________________ My current complication: Girl's name who gets no more than 10 minutes of screen time in the actual game. |

Posted by MaxKnight Oh! I thought you meant that if a forest (raw industry) was nearby, it'd use it automatically. Instead, that's the tropical sawmill's behavior. Either way, it's a bug and will be fixed in tonight's nightly. Edit: Also, it was Ailure who told me this. (citation!) ____________________ |
