POWDER GAME!

I found out about it like half a year ago.. I should've posted this here earlier.

Well...In this game, its like paint with physics. You get elements like metal, thunder, water, superball, nitro etc. And you can make ANYTHING! Oil mining, cities, pixel arts, guns, player courses(You can add a arrow-controlled player to your levels, and they recently updated for 2players-wasd) bombs, chain reactions, ANYTHING! I thought it was really fun. But the Japanese translations aren't that good, just like FRAXY! Be sure to hit the English button before you play! One more thing, you can look at other people's creations by hitting the Save Data, Weekly Rankings, or (Insert previous month) Rankings!

Here's the link:

Falling sand-esque games have been around forever.

However, you have to give them credit for being such an addictive time waster while still being extremely simple.

I was playing that since the first version.

And I still fail at it.

There are quite a few different versions of what is essentially the same game (Burning Sand (2), wxSand, this "powder game", etc). They're all generally really fun, especially since most of them you can alter the properties of the particles quite a bit.

I played a lot of them through one game that sends you to it's site...And powder game is better then all of them combined x 2. It has player functionality and the ability to upload levels. Also the elements are interesting.

wxsand and/or Burning Sand 2 have countless mods from which to pick from. They're really great fun. I would make some mods, except I utterly suck at doing so and can't mod to save my own life.

Burning Sand and wxSand let you create custom elements/"levels"/etc. They're quite a bit better than that simple java one you linked to.

I don't think this is THAT simple to program, though...
But yes, quite addictive...

By the time I finished reading that sentence, I had a rough draft of the basics in mind. Nothing beyond that though. Besides, I'm one to talk

Making the mod in the wxsand is as hard as creating Ebo's Virgo-400k in notepad from scratch O_o

I thought it was a common-sense conclusion that wxSand is inferior to Burning Sand 2. BS2's FPS is amazingly high, while wxSand is slow and laggy.

That said, wxSand modding is not even remotely difficult.

They also completely lack air pressure/wind, last I checked.

Although I've seen it countless of times, I can't refrain from displaying a crooked smirk when I see people assessing the difficulty and complexity of a program, especially those who have a limited experience in programming...
