I was gonna post this in the pets thread but figured it warranted its own.

I want VERY MUCH to buy a new horse. I always wanna take dates riding but only have the one. And he's a lazy bastard.

My priority for this outranks a new car (which I will need before too long) and a new computer. My next big purchase WILL be a new horse (I already have two saddles.)

Speaking of saddles... any of you who ride... what style do you like? My mom rides English. No thanks. My saddles are a smaller-sized synthetic saddle that I don't like very much and a big effing leather western saddle which I adore. I also used to ride bareback quite a bit but the horse I have now has a very choppy trot and gait and is thus not suitable for it. And his walk is slow and lazy. The only thing he really does well is run. I'm considering trying to sell him and buying two horses, but we'll see. Money, you know?

I was really into horseback riding as a kid, but the cost of having that kind of hobby was just a little too much. I had lessons for two years, and after that I was pretty much told to play another sport. D:

I wasn't some horseback riding prodigy, so it didn't devastate me too much.

I'm actually built well for it thanks to longer legs...but allergies prevent me from staying on for too long and it's been years since I've -really- ridden.

Besides, my first encountered made me pass out with a blue chest. Not fun. :\

I've gone a few times. But horses are teh oshi- expensive. So, consistent riding is just outside of my economic reality. But I do enjoy it. I have really long legs, but I also weigh 200 odd pounds. Horses don't like fat people.

Horses? What?

Okay, honestly. They don't exist here ... so in short, no, never have, probably never will (I'm not interested in it at all anyway)
