Got bored and hit up a pawnshop in town, turns out they had an interesting cart there:
Donkey Kong Country 2, for Super Famicom. Cost me $20, so I guess it wasn't too bad. Now I'll just have to disable the lockout on my console and play it |

That looks like a pirate cart, but I have no idea of that
Also, where do you live? If you're in America, there's no lockout besides the plastic having a different form factor (could cut plastic on either your console or cartridge, or take out the board and put it in another American SNES cartridge...). If it's Europe, then you'd also have to watch out for differences between PAL and NTSC (most newer TVs can support both formats; non-CRTs, such as plasma or LCD, especially don't categorize as either and can take both inputs), I'm not sure if it's even possible to play an NTSC game in a European SNES. |
