Actually, it might be because there was no title entered for the thread. I don't know exactly what would happen in that case (or if it'd be allowed at all), but that's what I suspect happened.

Yay, Ninetales is right. There is no title there. Having blank thread titles has been around for quite awhile. The only difference with this incarnation is that a question mark appears on threads that lack a title. At the old board, that never appeared. You had to enter the thread id manually to enter the thread.

I'd just use something like (no title) or something else...   isn't always clickable.

How about this? It won't allow members to put no text in the thread title field at all.
