Helps spread the popularity of each file, etc.... Not just have a few up the top that everybody sees, and having to wait ages for the list to load to go down to the bottom.

The connection's actually not that bad, it'd be the distance from the server that does it.
Whole thing takes about 5 INTERNET seconds to load, then lags the whole way through if I scroll x_o

Takes less than a second here. As for the scroll lag, try a different browser.

I tried this with the Generic User Filebin at nearly 500 items.

Frankly, if it were paged, I'd probably switch the sort order.

There's absolutely no reason for it to be the way it is, though. Even if your connection is good enough that it doesn't matter, shouldn't it be newest to oldest anyway? It should.

The list takes a few seconds longer to load than it should for me too. I also think that it should be sorted from newest to oldests, and having multiple pages of files would be nice on slower connections.

It's not like it would even be hard to have both newest-oldest and oldest-newest selectable. Paging would also not be hard. Both should be implemented... I'll try to get one of the coders to work on it.

I would not mind at all it being newest->oldest. My only annoyance with it right now is that I have to scroll down to the ass-bottom every time I want to upload something. Add another upload form thing at the top, and I'll be a happy camper.
