Calm down man, just stating my opinion.
I wasn't yelling at you or whatever. I was just saying that's almost definitely not going to be the answer unless okibi thinks the same way you do.

No reply yet from okibi, Drag?

We should be getting an answer soon. I emailed them most the translation, and i just got a reply. Drag should have it now.

I got it, and yeah, apparently we need to figure out some kind of meaning to the translated message. I'm thinking about sending him my idea about Link being a silent protagonist ("Zelda freak (link) knows more than he tells", but he never "tells" anything, so yeah, duh)

So yeah, does anyone have any better ideas, or should we go with that as a first try?

Well you should go with that as a first try anyway, and if he says no then we'll try something else.

Ok, I just now sent it to him, but who knows how long it'll be before he checks his email again.

The suspense is a killer... At first, we were saying "nah, this is phoney, a way to get attention", and now a lot of us are on the edges of our seats since we're so close.

Most people still think it's a phony, they're just going along for the challenge.

I think that the TLOZ: The Triforce saga was retarded.

That was on-topic. It was a Zelda III prototype hoax, that people found out to be fake.

My opinion is that the Zelda freak is Ganon. Sounds far fetched but he does want the piece of triforce she carries right?

Ok, my response wasn't the answer. He says that he's not sure if I understand what's being asked of me, and that I need to go over the step's info again.

In the original email, he said that the image (with the Hylian in it) contains a question, a hint and "something else".

I'm kinda lost as to what he wants.

Any ideas?

OK so as far as I can tell, It's NOT ACTUALLY "Old Hylian" in terms of grammar and such. Even going so far as to overlook the lack of spacing between the words of "True" Old Hylian. Maybe the ability to discern the difference between what Okibi wrote, and the "actual" language is an answer to the question of ability in reading it. And the hint is the fact that he -the zelda freak- knows this is the case...
A shot in the dark, maybe?

I think we should lay down something before we continue. If any of us working together actually do win, we have to distribute the rom among us first.then, we ditribute it to the gaming community.

No, we'll just distribute it to the AcmlmBorad community-*shot*
Er, we should distribute it. And hack it. And compare EarthBoundZero to it-*shot*

Why would you want to hack something like this?

Why would you want to hack something like this?

Unused content, beta (or more appropriately, alpha) leftovers, giving the game an ending (If we can gather enough information obviously), and... making hacks.

That would be awesome, but I wouldn't really be able to help in that department. Plus, the game is decently complete.Like 70% complete according to Okibi.

And how do you know that?
This sounds suspicious.
I am using small sentences.

because according to Okibi, and Nintendo, the Zelda III prototype should be 70% complete.

70% != 100%.
Dont believe the logic of people that say "It happens 100% of the time, so in other words, almost always..."
Okay, back on topic...
Zelda Freak could be one of many people. Perhaps it refers to the guy in Castle Town, who tried to sneak into Hyrule Castle, and find the Princess...?
Or Ganondorf, but he's just after the Triforce, and seeing as Zelda holds the Triangle of Wisdom... and of course, if and when Link gets the Triforce of Courage (Or of Power, but Ganondorf usually has that one...) Ganondorf will go after him, too.
Link knows much more than he tells, obviously, but you cant describe him as much of a Zelda Freak, because although he rescues Zelda in the end of most games, he just does it bring peace, defeat Ganon/Ganondorf, etc.
This is indeed a puzzling puzzle...
