We already know their movesets... they were shown to be pretty much the same as their previous versions in the trailers. Although I guess this doesn't bode well for movesets of the newcomers... since they're grouping them seperately, I guess there's still hope.

They're probably saving the real juicy stuff for later. >.>

Tell me where Link has done that though... I don't recall Link ever using the Master Sword double-handed in the Smash Bros. games before..

Kinda' reminding me of Marth/Roy B button attack... I dunno' this is a whole new game, with whole new attacks so I'd just wait for it.

Gamecube < Wii
1.5GB discs compared to 4.7GB or 8.5GB.

Brawl will indeed be HUGE. I expect nothing less than World Peace from this game.

Remember that Melee was padded out with Video Files to fill up space. I doubt they'd make 4.7 gigs of content.

Link's forward smash is a double-handed attack that looks very similar in the original, and I haven't played as him in melee in a while, but I assume it's the same.
I think it's the fact that now he keeps the shield behind him that makes it look different.

Dwedit: Yea but look at the textures that we saw in melee and now look at brawl:

The latter definitely looks prettier. And as you know, games look better running on the system than in a video or screenshot.

Ahhh... I'm lovin' the RSS feed for this. Well, to day you have the gooey bomb.

I love it! I just hope they keep in the Motion Sensor Bomb as well.

The ball in the center is kinda... pointy, though.

I actually don't care if they leave out the motion sensor, I really like the idea of the gooey bomb!

And uh, about the pointyness...
I've noticed this in every Brawl picture, and all I can think of is that they just haven't implemented anti-aliasing yet, or they just aren't putting it in at all.

I kinda wish some characters would have alternative costumes. Such as Wario's original overalls.

EDIT: Another thing... I haven't noticed shadows yet in the snapshots.

You're right! I hope they're still working on the graphics. That would explain the pointy polygons and whatnot.

Its chipset can do it (as with the Gamecube's too) it's just simply not enabled.

Is Fox on some kind of Halo base? That's what it looks like.

No that's the Starfox level there. If you watch the movie, you can see the Greatfox in the back ground.

@sgraff87:

They have basic shadows so far, and on the Battlefield screens, the sundial's shadow in the background differs from the time of day you play on.
The blockyness could be due to compression? (I'm just throwing it out there, I really have no idea what I'm talking about ) Or possibly resizing. Remember SSBM had an option to turn Anti-Aliasing off. (Under the name of something different...)

This should go to all the people who think the Wii is the GCN with motion control Look at the screen comparison...

EDIT: Also, I hope they cast Akira Sasanuma (Twilight Princess) rather than Nobuyuki Hiyama (Ocarina of Time) for the voice of Link.

250th post! Woo!

No it has the option to turn flicker off. Which is not AA.

Fair enough

One of the other screenshots has better developed shadows, with the ground visible underneath.
Too lazy to find it though

Nobuyuki Hiyama isn't in TP? Wtf? He's been Link in EVERYTHING up until now....he is Link. He most certainly better be Link in this.
