Trophies!

The system that we all knew would still be in the game. Looks to be slightly more customizable, as well.

They forgot the Gamecube version
Yawn.

I breathed a sigh of relief with this update.
I feared trophies were to be replaced with Assist Trophies and Stickers.

"X, Y - Zoom"
"C-Stick - View"
"Start Button - Change Lighting"?!?!?!?!

Plus, Sakurai likes the Gamecube Controller setup.

And just a little useless something I picked up on tonight;
The Japanese section of the site uses images from the Japanese build of the game, whilst all other languages use the English build for their images.
The Japanese section of the site's third image in today's update features a "NEW" above the Sticky Bomb and Cracker Launcher, along with a lower count of the trophies listed.

...Told you it was useless. Mildly interesting if anything.
"Nice find, Scatt."
"Thanks! "

Fox Mcloud is cartoonish in some ways, but looks realistic if you compare it to like... the way Mario looks like.

Foxes don´t usually walk on two legs. Realistic? Lol.

And Trapster completely fails to get it.

I personally would have much preferred them to use the Fox model from StarFox Adventures than (an updated version of) the one from Command. It's a bit more realistic (not in a "LOL FOXES ARE QUADRUPEDS" way, Trapster). Seriously, look at it:

@Sgraff87: According to GameFAQs/Wikipedia, the Wii version did indeed come out first... but only in America. In Japan and Europe, they were synchronized. I don't really care, though... I still consider the Gamecube version to be the real one.

Hm, yeah, his fur is quite detailed there but it looks more like blur than actual fur.

Diddy Kong's Final Smash!

Seems interesting, although somewhat double-edged. Hard to control, but seems slightly similar in effect to Yoshi's final smash... And it spawns food!

Fortune favors the quick, I guess. If you can avoid all the damage, you can heal a bunch from the peanuts left afterwards... Main question is if disabling food as an item will make that not happen.

hmm, ok I guess, I'm not too excited, but I'm probably not going to use final smashes most of the time anyways. I just thought it would be cool it they added the steel keg from Donkey Kong Country as an item and you could jump on top of them and do the thing where you are running in place on top of the barrel just like in Donkey Kong Country.

All I meant with the starfox example (like I said, not the best example) is that just because a character isn't realistic doesn't mean that they aren't detailed, that is a myth, imaginary creatures in art have tons of detail all the time, take dragons for instance.

Either she have six breasts, or that's some kind of color pattern

....I really hope it's the latter.

guys, the Ooccoo breast thing, i've read in a magazine (EGM if anyone has it) that they arent breasts, they called it "plummage" im not sure what that is, but its still pretty distubing. anyways on the topic of SSBB, i cant wait for the game myself. the characters look awesome right now. hopefully some good characters are joining soon.

I dunno about you guys, but I think the "breasts" are a great design in the Ooccoo. Though to call it plumage (feathers) leaves me confused. At no point higher in the neck, do they show signs of being feathers as they blend directly into the skin. I have a feeling they just said that to hide it.

Tourney Mode today. If you've played Melee, you know what to expect from this.

This may also be the first appearance of certain characters' select screen icons. Observe:

What remains to be seen is if the small icons are also the extra-life images. Unfortunately, as far as I can remember, the only images with the UI on it were in time (not stock) mode and had no life indicators.

Oh wow, I have to make the update this time? Well here we go...

*drum roll*

Why it is Lucas!

As for the Ness fans out there, I still think he would be in the game seeing that Ness and Lucas probably will be clones when it comes to moves. Maybe a little different.

Not too surprising, although for a bit I was almost expecting Flint to be revealed from Mother3.

...I'm still emo over that game not being released outside of japan. :/

Funnily enough, the day before they announced Lucas the Mother3 translation team released a sample patch with menus...

So... with absolutely no moves shown (except for what looks to be the neutral-A air move) you can immediately make that judgment?

I suppose it's just like how Ike is a Marth/Roy clone, huh?

Alright, enough sarcasm. I find it interesting that the post directly mentions Ness. From what I remember, the only other characters directly mentioned this way are Kirby (in the Knuckle Joe description) and Captain Falcon (in the Samurai Goroh description).

just as i said at SMWCentral, now that we have seen a Mother character, it does not reduce the chances of us not being able to play as Ness. Ness has been in the other 2 games, so most likely, he will be in this one.
I posted this becuase this came up at SMWCentral
