I like the detail in character models, lots of fuzz to go around.

Do you know what this now means? All of the main characters from SSB, along with the main characters who debuted in Melee (except for Sheik) are now in Brawl.

It's possible that Captain Falcon and Ness haven't been announced yet because they are secret characters. If they are in, then all of the main characters in Melee will be in Brawl.

You're forgetting Marth, he was pretty major, and Ike is not his replacement, since their specials are completely different. They seem to be fairly slow about releasing character information, but I'm pretty sure all the characters that will be in the game will be on the site, you can't expect them to give you everyone they've shown so far from the start, can you?

Marth wasn't in SSB, and he was not one of the initial characters in Brawl.

Read.

Something tells me that if any Golden Sun Characters are going to be in SSBB, it probably won't be Isaac and Garet; I'm betting on some of the non-swordsmen, since that's basically Marth and Roy's job.
I'm thinking Ivan and Mia, or Sheba and Jenna.

I'm hoping for a new item from Legend of Zelda to appear in SSBB. Maybe the Spinner. If the person grabs it, they'll start sliding over the ground, cannot do a double jump, any person the Spinner collides with takes massive damage and the Spinner would be hard to control until it starts to slow down. Afterwards, it disappears.

The spinner would be a cool item, it would be a tiny bit like Wario's Chopper. The Dominion Rod would be awesome too!

So, do you guys like the menus, from what we have seen? They look a little brighter, kinda like the ones in Kirby Air Ride.

well if you look at tonight's update you will see that the hammer is not being replaced, in fact there are TWO hammers now.

Introducing the Golden Hammer

Dang this thing is a monster. The original hammer will make a return too but this hammer is faster and more damaging. If you tap the attack button rapidly you can hover also. It also looks a little longer but that's just my observation.

talk about a really cheap item. it is pretty awesome though. Aparently when it malfunctions instead of the head falling off like the normal hammer will do, it goes *squeak**squeak**squeak* this has the potential to create some hilarious moments.

I think the misfire ability kinda balances it out. The original hammer's misfire (the head falling off) actually added a very powerful projectile to the board, and you could drop the hammer's now-useless stick when you got hit.

I kinda doubt you'll have much control of the hammer while you're hovering; it seems more likely you'll just keep running at a level equal to the landscape you left. Jumping would, naturally, be a very bad idea.

All in all, I think this is a good addition.

what would be the point of the hover move if you couldn't control where you were going? Maybe it's like Peaches hover move?

I think the hypothetical I was thinking of was that if you tried to turn around, you'd fall. Hard to say at this point, though, seeing how I've forgotten what I meant exactly.

That, and the fact that running off an edge without falling makes it feel like one of the old Road Runner cartoons, except that you're Wile E. Coyote. And we all remember what happened to him when he tried to turn around mid-air.

EDIT: Wi-Fi Play! Speaks for itself, really.

finally, and they said they will be more Wi-Fi modes announced in the future? I wonder what there would be besides vs.?

Anyways you can have 4 custom taunt lines when playing with friends, so that should be interesting. Also you can pick from a variety of avatars so that's cool, I wonder if the stickers play into this at all. I bet other wi-fi modes might be additional items or stickers, or perhaps trading systems where you can trade stickers, or maybe even events or tournaments.

Sadly he said that worldwide matches may experience lag, that kinda sucks, but it is still awesome with what they are doing.

They even let you beat the crap out of a sandbag while you are waiting for a match to connect, what more could you ask for!

I'm pretty sure there are plenty of third party instruments you can use can get that done without too much inconvenience.

Only if you know who you're up against. That doesn't help at all on the random match feature, which would appear to put you up against a few people with no way of indicating who any of you are.
