I just hope Diddy Kong's taunt is him taking a stereo out of nowhere and rapping to it.

God that would be awesome.

I wonder what's next for updates.

New post... New game mechanic. Petey Pirhana. Level boss!

Peach and Zelda are bound to get whiplash

I do wonder what happens to the one that doesn't get rescued. Ehh, probably winds up being "kidnapped" and rescued in a later level or something.

Know what I have for a thought? The cage busts open, Petey throws the other cage away, you and the one you save team up in a 2 vs. 1 against the Plant felonist.

Yoshi's Final Smash would probably work well against Pete.

Yeah, it would. But according to what I understand, you have to use Kirby here.

I do have to say, this actually does look usefull, there have been a lot of items that don't really do a lot, but it's like no one can touch you with this, you do extra damage and it's kinda like a shield in asense, especially against grabs.

It was in Kirby's Dream Land.

And is Diddy doing what it looks like he's doing? Wario already farts, and now this?

Actually, it was just a showcase of the types of special moves. MetaKnight's were shown, but that was because he was chosen as the model for them.

Wasn't the Shuttle Loop a move that you could do with the Wing ability in Kirby's Super Star?

One way or another, Metaknight's moves seem to focus on speed... he seems almost like a melee-based Fox/Falco, what with the B-down reflector and all.

The assist trophies seem interesting, as usual. And nobody can say that they'd prefer Andross be playable! I can actually see assist trophies providing many new opportunities for Pokemon-esque effects, on characters that aren't Pokemon.

with the large amount of pokemon and soon to be assist trophies they should not only let you turn pokeballs/ assist trophies off, but also which pokemon or assist trophies you want to allow in vs.

They said lots of special moves have hidden uses.

Does that mean more stuff like bowser's claw-grab?

Andross from the first game.

God that's awesome. Sure he appeared as a trophy in last game, but still.

Tons of people used the Action Replay on SSBM to get specific pokemon [dis|en]abled, so they better add that as a feature to SSBB instead of forcing us, again, to use the AR/GS/whatever comes out for Wii.

The problem is, unless you know something I don't, the Pokeball modifier code for Melee made all the Pokeballs have the same Pokemon. You weren't (except in one case) enabling anything; you were just disabling everything else.

(That one case was setting them to have Metamon/Ditto in them. In that case, you were enabling Ditto's useless appearance.)

(I suppose you could probably trigger the "All legendary Pokemon or Wobbuffet" settings or something, but that seems about it.)

I think I can be safe to say they better, BETTER improve both the voice for the announcer, and the screen transitions from what they were from SSBMelee.

I liked the announcer. He could've been the one from Pokemon Stadium, after all.

Today... Pokemon Trainer's Special Moves!

I'm questioning the worth of Ivysaur's normal special move, given that it attacks straight up, but... oh well.

Looks like Ivysaur's Up+B is almost the same as Zero Suit Samus' one. Meanwhile, Charizard reminds me a lot of Bowser. Squirtle looks to have Yoshi's B+Forward and his own little B+up of the generic "launch upward" variety.

Look out behind you, Yoshi!

What's wrong with straight up? That's easy juggling.

And also Pikachu's thunder move.

Ivysaur juggling, Squirtle mobility, Charizard firepower?
