but what about Mario and Sonic at the Bejing Olympic games for the wii, that one they both star in, so I can easily see sonic in there, besides they got SNAKE in there, and he's a sony star (although he started on the nes)

"As of June 9, 2006, suggestions were no longer being taken. In Toukoken, the portion on the Japanese site chronicling character and music suggestion updates, Sakurai has stated that some of the characters in Super Smash Bros. Melee may not return. He also states that he may not want to put much emphasis on Japan-only characters, but is not opposed to them entirely, noting the success that the Fire Emblem characters enjoyed internationally thanks to their inclusion in Melee. He also said that third party characters will amount to one or two, excluding Snake.[25]"

That statement is a little contrary to what was said on the official site, so I'm more inclined to believe what I read back then...

And tyty210, that game is the reason I do not believe Sonic will be in it. Bad for Nintendo. They market that game with the angle that it's the first game starring both characters. Since Brawl is going to be released before the Olympics, this would take away the novelty of the game, since Sonic would be in another game with Mario. Then the Olympics game would not sell as well. You see what I'm getting at?

I've heard talks of it being afternoon in Japan, which would be an 11:00 PM for example.

So, a list of musicians participating is up. Amazing. Though the alarming lack of Go Ichinose (Gamefreak) is depressing to an incredible degree

however, the fact that Nobuo Uematsu isn't on this list may imply it is incomplete. Who knows. Anyways, the lineup looks BADASS and...being the music nerd I am, I practically creamed seeing Motoi Sakuraba and Kenji Itoh there. Holy crap ;x

Also of note that Jun Ishikawa (Kirby) nor any of the F-Zero series composers is on there. Dave Wise was also missing (Donkey Kong Country). Here's hoping they fix that. Like, now =|

Not that much information, but holy shit, so many music artists!! I like the song they have, too.
