Today's Update is the Star Fox Space Armada song!

A different arrangement of this song appeared in Super Smash Bros. Melee, so some of you may already be familiar with it. I love the way it conveys the atmosphere of an epic showdown.

And the word "armada" refers to a large fleet of ships, of course. Though I always chuckle when I hear it because it sounds like my colleague’s name, Mr. Amada.

More than anything, though, what comes to mind are the courageous figures of Fox and friends as they fight a heated battle against an entire fleet of hostile ships.

I like it. Seems to not have quites as many instruments as the other songs, but I think it is better than the Metroid one we got awhile back.

EDIT: Nevermind, just listening with the volume too low.

This is one of the few games that is not a music game really make the music another great feature. I like that they include music in their updates because it is just as important as the rest of the game. A great game can be ruined if the music is really, really bad, so the fact they are concerned at making a superb soundtrack is great.

I'm expecting the OST to actually be for sale in the US for this game. If not...

I approve of the fact that they showcase Deoxys on the Lylat Cruise level:

Somehow fitting for a Pokemon with such a generic bad science fiction background.

EDIT: Wait a second. Does this mean there's no chance of neutral/defense/speed-form Deoxys appearing? Since that was always the most distinctive feature of it...

(No I don't count Psycho Boost as distinctive in this context.)

This makes 2 legendaries from R/S/E to appear. Kyogre and Rayquaza are plausible to show up soon.

I don't know what Kyogre could do... maybe Sheer Cold or Water Spout... not really easy to create that to work.

Rayquaza should make tornados appear onlevel.

Seeing as they are Pokemon, I doubt they will come out of an Assist Trophy.

I approve of this update. I wonder if we'll ever see any Pokemon from D/P. We probably will, but still.

I think I have a new favorite item.

I refer, of course, to pieces of Samus's suit. They're displacing the head of a broken hammer from Melee.

Actually, it's hard to decide whether I'd like the pieces better than Mr. Saturn or not.
