The mention earlier of how Giga Bowser doesn't get knocked around like an idiot and the fact that there's obviously /something/ different about how the knockback from getting hit works has gotten me thinking.

If you just took Melee and changed it so that characters don't get any knockback effect at all until a certain amount has been dealt, all the slower characters would actually be usable and the game would be almost balanced.

Hope they're doing something groovy like that.

Giga Bowser in Brawl is the equivalent of the star in Super Paper Mario.
He is unable to take damage and is huge, the only difference is that Giga Bowser is badass and if Final Smash orbs are items in Training Mode people WILL have fun with him.

I'm thinking of sticking with using the Gamecube controller for this game. The Nunchuk and Wiimote combo isn't too bad. But the rest are unappealing.

Having those statues that turn into allies that kick ass is a plus on my part.

I'm hoping Ganondorf is in this, but it seems to be on unstable ground... mainly ,I want his sword-attacks and perhaps a remaining move from his clone days. Also, I wish he'd handle the same...

But these are idle wishes by somebody who's practiced a lot with Ganondorf.

I think you misunderstood.

Gigabowser is not invincible, he can still rack up damage. Its just that if you hit him with an attack, ANY attack, he won't... move. Therefore, GB cant be stopped by some lame guy sitting there and mashing A since he's such a huge target

The definition of unexpected...

Smashville!

Did anyone predict an Animal Crossing level?

Also: The game does in fact do things based on the system's internal clock.

More than a level.. Note the icon added for the level? They only add icons that correlate with their characters.. I think we can actually expect to see an Animal Crossing character added to the roster now. (As odd as that is in a way.)

I didn't see that coming at all. As for how a character would work, I have no clue, maybe he/she throws furniture/clothes/fruit/gyroids attacks with shovel/axe/net/fishing rod. This Smash Bros really is turning out unexpected!

I am taking a stab in the dark and predicting the character's name will be Cross. Maybe Cruz.

I do not know about that. I would have assumed the icons correlate with the levels or games they are based off of (Ex. Battlefield is not based on any games therefor is Smash Bros exclusive and thus gets a Smash Bros icon while Smash Town here gets an icon of a leaf indicating it was based off Animal Crossing).

Traditionally all level icons either match a character or are the smash brothers logo. Smash logo stages are always generic-style stages for smash brothers specific characters like the fighting polygons. The icon, but to a larger extent the inclusion of the level itself, means that the developers either have to break the tradition or have a character from that game. I don't think anyone considers that specific tradition terribly important to the franchise, but it does seem slightly more likely that they'll stick with it than not.

I'm gonna take a flying stab in the dark and say the character's name will be... Mr. Resetti.

Also, it just occurred to me that Nintendo quite obviously knows that we all want more characters, because they are not complete idiots. And SSBM had a whole lot more characters than the original. We're actually probably due for quite a large number of new characters. And that is a happy thing.

Goro has the Falcon Icon.. Dr. Wright has the Smash Emblem.. (Get where I am going with this?)
Without repeating what Squash already stated, no I highly doubt they gave a unique icon just for this one stage when the Smash Emblem would have sufficed just fine.

On another note, it just so happens that it is Icon 15.. which is somewhere in the middle of all the other character icons. One would think a stage specific icon, if such a thing existed, would be numbered higher over the normal character icons. (Somewhere over 18, which is currently the highest number character Icon - Pit's.)

If an animal crossing character does get added, you all know you'd like Tom Nook with his pajama's skin.

What would be really funny, is if they add in Mudkip/Treecko/Torchic for pokemanmon in this game.

Also, which character would you play out of the roster at the moment? I'd probably go for metaknight or zero-suit samus. Probably because you won't expect most things from them, cause I sure as hell didn't expect zero-suit to have a sword.

Unless we get a character like Nook, the main character in the Animal crossing games never have been definitive since they are different each time. Now this may be crazy, but what if the game would load your Mii and then changes them into an Animal Crossing styled character?

We really wouldn't like to see Hungry Hungry Hobo's in the game.

I would link, but VGcats overwrote the comic with humiliation tube.

Since Tom Nook is in the background of one of the pictures, I doubt it would be him.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's like the Ice Climbers, a boy and girl duo or something.

D'oh! I totally missed him. Another thing. I wonder if there will be any Animal Crossing trophies. It is kind of too popular to not have any.

There better be either a character or trophy in this game, otherwise I will demand a Wii game of Animal Crossing that can interact with the AC:WW.
