don't over analyze folks, it was just a trailer.
I figure they are two seperate characters, and I'm going to hold to that theory. Yeah I want to see a classic mario bros (arcade) and a classic donkey kong (arcade) styled levels, and a paper mario one would be cool but I doubt it unless they are going to have LOTS of levels (which would be cool) It'd be neat if they ported all the levels from the previous two games since they have the space on the disk. I like the sliding boxes, it may seem insignificant but it's that little stuff that really adds depth to the game. ____________________ Petition for Factor 5 game on Wii |

Doesn't this look like that one level from the trailers? It's definitely not one of the three listed on the site right now. Wrong style of platform for any of the revealed levels, and it has pine trees and a flag. The move looks very stylish, even if it only appears to hit one opponent, compared to Mario's which seems to hit everyone. Then again, if the trailer is accurate, Kirby's only hits one character, also. |

They've shown that stage in one of the trailers already, I forget which one though.
They also have yet to announce the Mario Kart course, Metaknight's, Foxes course, and what looks to be Snake's course (in the second trailer, where it demonstrates Snake crawling, positioned like he's looking at Zero Suit Samus' ass  )____________________ D: Can't think of anything original.... |

Posted by Z-Bot It's very likely. Neither Roy, Pichu or Dr. Mario added a whole lot to the game (and Roy isn't a particulary important character either, he was only in Melee to advertise the upcoming Fire Emblem 6). Ganondorf will most likely get a complete overhaul, being replaced with a more current incarnation of the character, and given an original moveset. |

The Ice Climbers weren't worthless.. And hey, they were unique in their design. Perhaps they aren't especially popular either, but to be honest.. I'd rather be more surprised if they didn't make a come back than if they did. (I mean hell, they pulled Pit out of one of their oldest games.. why get rid of the Ice Climbers in turn?)
And I agree that the Fire Emblem characters are a bit touchy.. Though I would hope at the least that they'd get replaced with someone more interesting from the series if nothing else. Things like Pichu are indeed hopelessly doomed though.. |

To me, to have Shiek in the game will throw off the LOZ characters seeing Link is the TP version and Ganon probably as well.
But I can see Zelda shooting golden arrows. |

Posted by Krisan Thyme Marth was the original Fire Emblem hero, and the only one to star in more than one game (FE1 and FE3), he's certainly significant and interesting enough. He's staying, it's Roy who should be worried about his place in the game. And yeah, forgot about Young Link. Yeah, he's certainly not going to be in the game. The OoT era has long since passed. Zelda's Sheik form will have to go as well. |
