And you weren't before because...

Using the remote sideways is probably the last resort playing mode, it can't be easy to use motion sensing as specials... probably a flick of the remote results in a jump.

I can see the pause screen now

Reset:
(wiimote button presses)
(wiimote + nunchuck button presses)
(classic controller presses)
(GCN controller presses)

Either that, or they'll get rid of quitting during a match entirely.

Hmm... I guess it's still possible that they scrap the whole "Wii-mote on it's side" scheme. Maybe he isn't revealing how it works because they just can't come up with something that works well.

Being able to quit a match is kind of a very useful feature.

If they're going to have big combos for each controller, it'll probably just show the combo for whatever controller just paused it.

I hope that iun order to quit the match all participating players must press a certain button on their controller. That way, there won't be anyone who quits right before they are about to lose. I hate people like that...

Now heres a shocker.
Seems like every single now known control scheme on the wii will be supported.
Interesting...

Hm. I´ll try controlling the game with Nunchuk and wiimote but I´ll mostly use the GC controller, I think. They fit nicely in my hands.

Yoshi's Island level today.

Looks rather nice:

Good to see they're acknowledging the game in this one, rather than having the one from Mario World and two from Yoshi's Story.

It better have more then just the Ghost, and those two platforms or else it is a really plain ass level.

Well Final Destination was a pretty plain level.

Although it definitely seems on the small side, similar in size and theme to the regular Yoshi's Story stage in SSBM, although the season change is a nice touch, even if it seems to be completely cosmetic. Wonder if the Shy Guys do anything...

I smiled when I saw the little pound-ledges poking out of the moon from the Raphael fight. The little details...

So now that SMB, SMB2, Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island, Yoshi's Story, Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine have had stages in the Smash Bros. series, all that's left is a Super Mario Bros. 3 stage. I recommend a doomship. That'd be awesome.

I'm pretty sure that's about it... every Yoshi's Level (excluding Yoshi's Island SSBM) has been a small, little, pain in the ass...

So it's Ridley's boss battle. But by mentioning Theme Song, character or adventure mode boss or what?

The original song is mainly associated with the Ridley battles, though I believe it's also been used for escape sequences too. What kind of Metroid stage would fit this rather then the usual song used?

That would be awesome if the level was a sidescrolling escape, like Rainbow Cruise is in SSBM.
*me hopes that Ridley is a playable character now

I think it's official, from the music they have shown, the music in this game is going to simply be the best music in a video game ever.

That song was fucking amazing! Like, not only did it totally pump me up but it has all the key features to have a song be badass.
Random shit thrown in at tense parts. (Around 0:30, single sound effect between the music loops)
Guitar in the background.
Sticking to original format and not making it sound too different.
Real instruments. (Ok, some of it.)

Also, Minako Hamano (Metroid Fusion) did this song along with Yusuke Takahama (Digital Pinball series). I just didn't think Minako had it in him to do something like this (I can't think of anything in Fusion that sounded remotely as badass as this).

Uhh, Mikano Hamano is a woman. She wrote half the tracks for Super Metroid too (such as the famous ridley theme and the Miradia music).

She and Eveline Fischer (donkey kong country 1 and 3) are the only two female composers in the video game industry that I can actually think of, to be honest.

This music doesn't really prove anything other than "there will be a somewhat dangerous Metroid stage in the game". This theme would fit the Kraid level from Melee fairly well.

Yoko Shimomura? She did some amazing work (Super Mario RPG, Kingdom Hearts, Mario & Luigi).

The song is awesome, the new Yoshi's Island stage looks interesting, and Fox is... Fox.

Onoes let's get mad at Sonic for not knowing a Japanese name for belonging to a woman! Jesus... Whatever, he she, you take away or put in one letter then you have what you are looking for.

I made something...Blame the poor audio quality on what smashbros.com uploaded themselves.
