If you think about how big Melee was, and how long it would take to have an update every weekday up until about a quarter of the game is covered, you'd get at *least* 4 months worth of updates. It pains me to think about how far they'd go with this installment. I'm thinking about 100 or so updates, which puts us in September. I still believe that the updates will continue even after the game comes out.

The Wii is doing so well without Nintendo's four main titles. I can't wait to see how well it is going to do when they all come out.

he says

wah!
Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmnmnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnmm!
Yoshi!
Plung!

except in RPG Mario games where he actually speaks proper English....

you forgot "Badum BUM!" and "Boing HOP!"

I like Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Story both, but baby yoshi sounds shouldn't take over normal yoshi. I also think Yoshi's Island was just a deeper, longer game with more production value, it also had the benefit of Miyamoto in the developement.

watch, the next characters they reveal are going to be like yoshi, and luigi, and nes and obvious ones like that.

We'll have a few months of reintroducing characters from the original, old items that everyone already knows about, and possible some new items and stages.

I bet we won't see any newcomers until the game's release.

... OMG I also forgot the best gibberish i ever heard that yoshi says... it's....

ABBIGADI DA BOOO!

And baby yoshi's are pretty much only main charracters in yoshi's story, all the other yoshis are adults...

Yoshi lifecycle

Baby---couple days--->Adult
the rare special powered color yoshi's (star world only) can become adults by eating a bunch of enemies, but the ones found on yoshi's island do not, why? I don't know....
nintendo has made it pretty screwy, I just thought that up right now...

Nes was an okay character, but I didn't really get used to him, not the PK thunder getting back, just I'm used to heavier characters....

Nes probably be in the game because the Mother/Earthbound series is relatively popular in japan (big fanbasis). Much more than here.

Plus if they get rid of him, Mr. Saturn will not be in it either.

But hey, we will see.

We probably can guarantee Bowser will be in the game, same with Peach and Luigi. Though I wish they could get Daisy to be a character separate than a Peach recolor.

...The name is Ness. I'd think someone would've mentioned that by now.

Good to see that the Pokemon Stadium map is coming back. And Goldeen is keeping its same role as always.

Well the pokemon stadium stage looks a bit better:

Melee
Brawl

Chikorita's a little bit shinier I think.

Chikorita looks about the same, if not a little improved.
They are using the GCN models for now anyways, except for Groudon (obviously...) And the Pokemon Stadium looks tons better than the original, and yes, I noticed the Melee image is blured

The new Pokeball pokemon Groudon, doesn't look too useful in a stage where it keeps moving such as Big Blue, unless it falls off a car onto the road and slams into you. Although I have to admit it IS big.

Not many Pokemon were. Remember Zapdos, Moltres, and Articuno when used on Big Blue?

I still don't know if they will have a stage like Big Blue here...
I just hope we get info on the Metaknight stage. That one looks awesome.

I don't recall there being any bias towards Captain Falcon on that stage, and he's definately not the optimal character for getting up from a fall, maybe whoever played as Captain Falcon was just better than you. Anyway, I liked Big Blue, I do hope it makes a comeback. Fighting on top of cars was awesome, although I always fealt uneasy there, it was an enjoyable uneasy.

I loved Big Blue. It was just so... unique.

I rather liked Poke Floats and Rainbow Ride, as well. Icicle Mountain was miserable, though.

(Flat Zone needs to die. It was irritating in all sorts of ways.)

EDIT: I'm fairly certain that falling on the track in Big Blue (if not R-canceled) would mainly be lethal only for the slower characters to recover naturally. The lighter characters tend to survive better, from what I remember; don't expect it to work well as Bowser, particularly with his hideously slow jump speed.

Oh yes, Icicle Mountain and Flat Zone were both full of all sorts of suck. And each in their own uniquely sucky ways.

Icicle Mountain's poor scrolling physics made it feel strange (seems that rather than the camera scrolling up and down across the mountain, the mountain scrolls past a stationary camera), not to mention it being the ugliest thing in the game.

Flat Zone was just way to small to have no cliffs, cheap kills are almost unavoidable. The forced super-zoom out during the pause screen was also annoying.

A lot of it depends on how hard you hit the road, how far from the left edge you are when you hit, and if there are any vehicles in the way to catch you.

Big Blue was sweet, especially going upside down, and yeah faster characters faired better, instant 3rd jumps helped. I actually liked Flat Zone for what it was, it was so chaotic and had a very different strategy of fighting, I'll agree that you wouldn't want to play it too much though, as it could be cheap, and most certainly turn items OFF, it already has enough mayem.

"ABBIGADI DA BOOO!" audio clip? I'm pulling a blank here and it's frustrating

Hmmm.... there has not been a mention that there will be trofies to collect in Brawl. I seriously hope that:

1. Lots of unlockables.

2. Adventure/Story mode altogether will feel like a real game. Melee seemed to chopped up or broken (not sure how to describe it). At least some sort of story instead "Hey we are all video game heroes for the mostpart, lets fight!"

It's Yoshi's taunt in Mario Party... 7, I believe? One of the Gamecube ones, at least... It's really obnoxious if you keep making him do it during other people's turns. Trust me, I do that myself.

That is a pretty far recovery, yes. Although I think it's mainly just a bit more lateral (and a bit less vertical) distance than the one in Melee, hard to tell since I don't measure it too closely.

yeah, the adventure mode with a more real story would be cool. And having the levels actually resemble the games more, like have the mario level actually be a mario bros level, have the metroid level play like a metroid game. have the zelda segment play like Zelda II. it would just make it all seem more authentic I think.

@Skreeny

that would explain it, never played mario part 7, hardly played any mario party really.
