This and its referenced articles probably gives a better illustration of the whole "no information is being transferred faster than c" thing. I remember reading an article about either this or a very similar experiment in Scientific American quite a while ago.

I agree with Boing. They couldn't have been attempting to make light go backwards, I wouldn't even think that'd be possible

... If I wanted light to go another way, I'd turn the light bulb that way.
