Saw this on the Science channel a while ago, and I thought I'd share it.

http://www.mocoloco.com/archives/000694.php

It's a little house that has a central cylinder that rotates to face one of 3 rooms into the living room: the bathroom, kitchen, or bedroom. All of it is controlled by a remote or little consoles on the walls.

I would so use this house, but probably only in college/some time after I graduate that, until I get a good job.

What do you all think?

Well, I'm a bit costrophobic, so sleeping, cooking, or going to the bathroom in that would feel awkward. Not to mention it doesn't look like it'll hold a lot of stuff, so I definitely couldn't live in it .

But I could see it as being a relatively temporary place to live, based on its size. Plus article says, it was designed for people who don't use a lot of space for work/living/etc, but I'm not that kind of person.

Edit:

Privacy in that looks horrible. Too many windows. But despite my complaining, it nonetheless looks awesome as far as design.

Yeah, I'd like less windows, but as far as a temporary house goes, I think this would be great. Thats just me, of course, and only going off the pictures. could be way smaller in person. The central drum thing is about 6 meters in diameter I think they said...

Hey, that sounds great. Just remove the windows in at least one part so there's privacy using the washroom, and I'd buy one.

You also have a remote that lets you control the central room, I think. So you can rotate it out of view when in use. There's also a smaller bathroom off a tiny hallway on the side.

Rather interesting, if I do say so myself. If I had my own house, it would be something like that. I do have to agree with the reduction of windows, though.
