I've been advised to do a mario game as my first ROM hack. so if i question about lunar magic or something else, i will post it here.

1. How do i change the background so its a background from a different level?

2. How do i use addmusic to change the music on a stage?

1) This is in the LM Manual, which you'll want to check a lot. Changing a background can sometimes be possible, sometimes not. Level->Change Background Image in the menu bar is where you'll find the command for that.

2) This one is a bit more involved; once you have addmusic you'll want to download the .txt files for the songs, then add them to addmusic.ini, or whichever file it was exactly that controls the music. Then it's just a matter of running addmusic on the ROM and setting the level to use the new music in Lunar Magic.

Can you tell me the link to the LM manual i dont think i got it from where i downloaded it...

the LM manual comes with LM, just open the help menu.
