I'd go back in time. Back to the 90's.

- WCW and WWF, When wrestling was good
- Married with Children
- NES, Super NES, Nintendo 64, PlayStation
- GameBoy, GameBoy Pocket, GameBoy Color
- Grandma's house, pool parties
- Sega Genesis
- Super Mario World
- Ripley's Believe it or Not
- Home Improvement
- All the best movies, Terminator, T2
- Cartoon Network, Johnny Quest, Space Ghost, Dexter's Laboratory
- Manhunt at night-time on the whole block with 15 friends
- Stayed overnight at friends house, played Toe Jam and Earl on the Super NES
- Elementary and High School were good
- Starcraft
- Mega Man Soccer
- Fun in Elementary, first crush on girls
- All the nostalgic moments
- Block parties in the summer time with the beautiful sunset
- Big 4th of July parties
- People actually went outside and did things. Today everyone stays in, uses the computer.
- No social lives today.

I don't know, but I personally feel that the times today suck. If I could go back and be a kid again, I'd do it all over again. Much more fun, and much more nostalgic memories. It sucks being an adult in these new times. 1985 to 2003 - Good times.

Anyone else feel the same? Or have similar feelings?

If I could go back and time, it'd be to fix the choices I made that were the wrong choices. That being said, my life is still pretty splendid right now even considering I was married for 5 months and then got divorce papers slapped in my face.

And all the stuff you listed, you can still do. Just got to mix it in with your actual responsibilities as well.

And I hate cell phones more than computers, you can't go to dinner or a bar with someone and have a good time with them anymore because they are too busy sending texts and/or talking on your phone.

Dude, you got divorced? That sucks .

But yeah I fucking loved the 90s. Best era ever. I actually wrote a poem once about post 90s alcoholics.

Nah, people still go outside. It's just that all of your friends stay at the computer or something. Maybe no one is available at the same time.

I used to feel like that for the past 2 years. I felt like my life was great when i was younger and then it just goes downhill.
Then I met her and now all I look forward for is the future. I like the past it was cool and all, but I'm no longer in the okkusenman4lyf mood anymore.
If I could go back in time I'd do everything the same way I did before, every good thing and every mistake, I'd do them again, because that's what made me become what I am today.

Not yet, takes like 3 months to go final. And it sucks, but I'm better off without a money grubbing bitch that only stayed with me for the money. Told me stuff like she only married me because that is what her parents wanted, etc. I'm better off without her, and now there are no conflicts when I want shit. I want dual 22" monitors, I can buy it... etc.

Yeah, there's only one thing I would change if I went back, and it's not even not getting married to the woman who's divorcing me now. I'd probably still do it. And even the thing I would change isn't such a big thing that it would have made any difference in shit.

Plus the future is good. Life is too depressing if you just do nothing but sit around and remember how good the past is, gotta go make more memories instead of mope about.

Shit man, this is exactly why I don't want to get married for a long time. How long was your engagement?

I was born in the 90s, and it was fucking awesome. I didn't have a SNES, unfortunately, but I had a NES and a Genesis (and a gameboy and Atari ). Also, I was much more active and less shy back then. Now I hardly ever leave my room, and can't really talk to people.

But the things I miss most are the nostalgic things that you forget, then something triggers the memory, and you're filled with the past happiness you felt when you were five. I'm just right now rewatching Duck Tales, and believe me, I am thrilled to watch this stuff again. Too bad Youtube's being a fucker.

Man, if I could time travel, there'd be NO doubt in my mind I'd go to the 90s. Experience it all again, this time remember it all, that'd be sweetness.

Dated for over 3 years... engaged for a year... married for 5 months. Nothing wrong with marriage, in fact like I said I'd do it all over again. I still feel she is the right one for me, she doesn't think I'm the right one for her. Gotta go both ways.

But at this point, I don't think I'd take her back if she came... I guess that will be a future decision if it happens .

Yeah I miss the 20th century too. I'm a very nostalgic person. Definitely miss the old days when my bedroom was a garage with a tv, pool table, piano, beds & sofas etc. and friends & family would crowd in and we'd all play Goldeneye or Ninja Gaiden 3 or whatever over a bunch of pizza and soda. Sometimes in the middle of the night when I can't sleep or when I'm generally stressed out I drive back to my old neighborhood where I grew up some 20 miles down the freeway. It's definitely my happy place.

One of the reasons why I hadn't sought out a relationship is because I knew I wasn't mature enough. I was pretty sure I couldn't handle it.

Still, I loved my childhood. Video games those days kicked ass. I remember waking up at 5 or 6 in the morning to play SMW on SNES a month before it came out. My older cousin got to beta test it... I was the luckiest kid on the block!

I don't miss too much, though I do miss the I2 times when things were running moderately peacefully and there weren't 45e+5 different boards ripping the userbase apart. Then again, maybe that was just me not understanding the situation back then :/

I have similar feelings, RetroRain. With each year that flies by, I miss the good old days more and more. The days when they actually sold NES games at Canadian Tire. (Believe it or not, they did!) I actually miss elementary school and high school. Parents always tell you not to grow up fast and that you should enjoy the old days while you still can, but we normally look forward to the future until we're actually living it and then we're looking backwards to the past.

I know I'm not the first one to word it this way, but if we knew what we know now, we more than likely would have lived our childhood and youth years differently. I know that I would change quite a bit. One thing I know is that I jumped into the ROM hacking community later compared to everyone else. I know that I missed SMB3 hacking when it was at its peak a few years ago, so if it was possible to change the past, I would make sure that I would jump in during that era.

I would have bought more N64 controllers when I had the chance. I have about ten or so that have all been used to the point that they don't work anymore. A guy at a local store says that they would need to send away for a part that they don't make anymore to fix them, which is more trouble than it's worth, so I've stuck to the NES for the longest time - although that could become an issue too since more than half of my NES controllers don't work either.

But yeah - things would definitely be better the second time around if only I was given the chance to relive those years.

(Edited out of this Bob and George comic)

And, no, I do not agree with you. Look at computers today and tell me they where better in the 90's.

Fuck nostalgia.

I can't seem to stand it because all it does is blind people with good memories. It seems like people live in the past to escape the future, as if everything in the past was much better than it is today, even when it's not. In fact, some could argue that today is much better than the past. Because when we eventually do break it down, there's much more to do today than there was five years ago. In fact, this is a time where new and original content has some of the best ability to flourish and grow, and make tomorrow better for us. If all we're doing is being blinded by the past, what are we going to do about our future?

I'm less worried, when it comes to time travel, about what I experienced and memories/nostalgia (although I'd love to relive those... ) and more about the stuff I missed out on. I feel I missed so much.
I sorta wish I was born, like, ten years earlier than I was... know what I mean?

I miss the good ol' days when people wouldn't try to put their political views in everything, and back when everyone had morals.
