He's a Doctor and he's Mari- wait, I forgot I requested the name change.
I was Dr. Mario, then someone decided to give everyone Mecha related user names or whatever and mine was Dr. Hell, and I thought it was kind of cool, so I requested to keep it.
I mean c'mon, Dr. Hell, it's like a Doctor that is either a pro-wrester, or belongs to a biker gang.

I used to be called Samus Aran, but I changed my name during the Summer

. I had the name Samus, as Samus owns, and Metroid was already taken at the board I went to at the time of it's creation.

I changed to my old name, cause it's more awesome, and I'm no longer thought to be a chick. I used to think Marzen64 was from Starfox64, but that was really Rob64 :|. So, I chose the name Marzen64 from Mischief Makers, and since it's awesome, and also the name of a German pale lager, it's a keeper!

Back when I was around age 7, my mother used to take me along to her workplace a lot. She worked (and still works) as a theoretical astronomer, and there were these Sun SPARC stations standing all over the place. I must have thought something along the lines of "it would be insanely witty if I left a hacker-sounding username in the login box so people thought a hacker broke into their system" and somehow came up with what I have now (I suppose my frequent browsing of popular science journals like Scientific American which I had good access to thanks to my mother's occupation also played a part), though I'm not completely sure if the number sequence was the same back then. I think I might remember that I used "45" at first but thought it didn't look good, but my memory went very fuzzy over time.

Some years later, I was asking something about telnet bruteforcing somewhere and, lacking creativity, stuck to the "hackerish sounding" nickname I came up with before. I never quite got rid of it again, and thus here I am.

I had to get rid of the AOL-ish handle I had before. Then came Halloween on the old board and I changed my name to TEH FUZY EVIL for the occasion.

I then very loosely translated it to Japanese, Kyoufu Kawa, but the constant misspelling inspired me to drop the first part.

I won't say the entire story of how I got the name Liru, but it's partly because of Liru being my favorite character from Magical Pokaan.
My other name is Exor. I got that because... Rawest Forest made me want to play SMRPG, and when I got to Exor, I thought he was the strangest boss... being a giant sword and all. I found out one that's stranger, countdown, but I like Exor better.

True, but it still sounds waaay more authentic as "Kyoufu Kawa". But hey, it's your choice, not mine.

Seems a few of us have usernames/handles that have evolved over the years... Mine hasn't changed in 10 years. Perhaps it's time for a change...

My old name, Omi, was chosen through blind typing initials for scores on soul calibur years ago, and I decided to keep it since it sounded pretty decent.

My current name is based off the phoenix wright character (not waiting for godot, blackhole) Godot who is a pretty cool (like me) person that is very witty (unlike me) and is straight to the point.

I will most likely change my name to something else (read: bug blackhole to do it) over time, since I tend to get bored of having the same name all the time (which is why it would be cool if we could purchase name changes from the item shop

)

CKY is one of my favorite bands.

There's this movie called CKY2K made on 2000. Sounded clever to me.

I just put in the - and there you go, CKY-2K, cause no one would ever think of that!

But then someone changed my name to CKY-9K.
