Found a small bug. If you kill Bundt(the cake) fast enough that the 2 Torte's(chefs) don't run away, the battle glitches. After Booster eats the cake, 1 of the Torte's is still battling you, and since Torte is invincible you have to lose/restart the fight.

Alright, thanks for letting me know about that. I'm quite sure there's a quick fix to that.

EDIT: Alright, problem's definitely fixed now.

I found that speeding up the emulator with the toggle speed option on ZSNES sometimes keeps the game from freezing. I don't know if this helps any, but just letting you know.

My Zsnes failed to cooperate with smrpg as well. it occasionally froze when i equipped weapons or armor, and especially at the end of the star scene when you beat Johnny.
So i switched to Snes9x and it works perfectly, maybe even better than before!

Also i have a few questions..

1) (Really important!) i would just like to know where the hex information for the level cap is, or even better, how to change the level cap to anywhere from 50-99 -I already figured out how to change the money cap of 999 to 9999 so I'm somewhat familiarized with hex editing.

2) (also really want to know) How do i apply an IPS? I just downloaded a smrpg hack, and i wanted to apply it, but i can't figure out how...

3) why am i only seeing two available hacks to apply when i view the lazy shell patches tab? i figured there would be more seeing as how so many people on this sight post info on their own hacks..

LASTLY) Are there any other editors besides lazy shell?

EDIT: i figured out how to apply the patch... and upon playing it i noticed some... simularities... you said you made this whole hack by your self correct? and you thought it all up yourself?

... this hack is almost exactly like mine.. Of course its just coincidence =P i don't know how but many of the things this hack has are very, if not exactly the same as mine lol.. like macks name change to The Mackster, the amount of experience you gain from monsters is EXACTLY the same, including in the very beginning in bowsers keep the first time, they give off the exact same amount of exp and coins as my hack does..

it seems almost TOO coincidental, could i have perhaps somehow mixed the data? if so, HOW THE HELL DID I DO THAT? well anyways, i thought it was really funny to see how similar it is.. OH and the dificulty?? WAYYYYY TOOOOO EASY!! I spent no more than 10 minutes on fast forward in mushroom way, and i made it to level 13 by the time i fought hammer bros..

2) Lunar IPS is the snes rom patcher found here (http://fusoya.eludevisibility.org/lips/)
3) not many hackers submit hacks to cirrus myself would like cirrus to have every smrpg hack there

Ah i wish i could help more beginners

it froze at the collection for the star you get after defeating jonathan jones

This is a glitch of the emulator. To fix it you must play this game with ZNES 1.41 (I think this version fixes other emulator glitches in this game)

v1.51 is the only version that freezes SMRPG. 1.50 and under work just fine.

Hey I wasn't mistaken when wondered if the two hacks had gotten data mixed up.. My hack somehow got some of it's data mixed with this one... but how?? unless you named bowser - Magus, and Mack - the mackster.. i doubt it. Is there anyway to prevent this from happening? or even anyway to fix it? (not that i'm going to, It actually turn out to be pretty cool, seeing some of my work combined with someone else's)

If you're trying to claim that I used your hack as a base, this hack was almost entirely my work. The base that I had was the original Super Mario RPG rom with a removed header. Some of my friends' ideas may have implemented in the hack and Maticolotto assisted with the editing process by introducing me on how to use a hex editor and created some minor editors to make it easier. However, they haven't been publicly released though. Bowser should be Bowser and Mack isn't the Mackster. Sounds like your hack primarily got implemented with the rom.

Also, it may be a coincidence that the EXP is the same but I'm currently balancing the hack one last time so that the hack remains with that edge of difficulty, but is also fair to players. Right now, I'm at the Sunken Ship in testing and when I'm sure that everything is working well, I'll release the final version to everybody.

In regards to the level cap, I can certainly detail how it was done and what addresses you need to be aware of while increasing it. However, I still need to figure out some things, mainly regarding the Specials Menu and what level you'll learn your specials at...

I updated from v1 to 3, and made sure to utilize the save tip so I didn't lose progress, but some of the changes don't seem to be in effect for the game, such as geno boost- it can not target everyone, but still has its high cost, and bowser's terrorize acts as your changelist says as well. Unless the "targeting party" is an automatic thing and who you select to target doesn't matter- if that is the case then it's fine.

The final version has been released now! Any future versions (if needed at all) will mainly be bug-fixes. The hack is officially finished!

Hey waddler, I've been playing the hack up to smilax and I've noticed that once I kill the last head, he starts using new moves and stuff, but the problem is that he won't die. I've checked with psychopath and his hp is 0. Now if I use thunderbolt it just glitches the shy guy to water the boss more and its all screwed up. Any help would be appreciated

My game keeps hanging during the Axem Rangers fight when they use Breaker Beam. The beams sprite never shows up and nothing ever happens.

This a bad rom? If so, is it possible to re-patch another rom and load the same save file?

I'm using ZSNES 1.5
