So, has anyone else played Lock's Quest? It's an interesting game. The premise of the game is that you play as Lock, an Archineer in the Kingdom of Antonia, a few years after 'The Great War,' in which the Kingdom's greatest Archineer went rogue and created an entire clockwork army and with it almost destroyed the Kingdom.
The goal is to build defenses similar to a Tower Defense game, and attempt to protect a person or object for a set time, or destroy some objective (e.g. a boss), or sometimes both. Basically, you're able to build Turrets (on walls), wall sections, traps, and 'helpers' which give a bonus of sorts to turrets (and sometimes walls). The game starts off rather simple, and gets very complex and engaging as time goes on. The other big thing is that during 'battle phase,' you don't just sit and watch the defenses go at it- in order to win any battles, you have to maintain your defenses as well as attack your agressors. All in all, I found it was a fun game with a good story, and hope to see a sequel some time. It's not just a 'spam as many turrets as possible' game either, since they'd get destroyed very quickly. |

Sounds like a slightly developed version of the Atari game Rampart. ____________________ For FOOOOOOD! |
