.. making the same "hey this shit just happened" or "what do you think of this" sort of topic just doesn't cut it.

Sometimes you just have to make something with no direction.

Post an experience. Any experience. It doesn't have to be related to anything.

Mine:

A friend of mine and I went down to the south of England, Cornwall, for a few days a few weeks ago. It wasn't tourist season, so we just hung around near beaches bored and cold. Then for no reason we climbed a fucking huge cliff, really late at night, and stood there, jumping between big pillars of rocks above the sea for 2 hours, in 90mph winds just freaking out. It felt awesome.

So, as very, very few of you know, I march in my high school's MURCHEEING BUHND.

Every time I get out on the field and march I sweat like all get out in our uniforms (mmm mm jackets that zip up from the BACK). But it's always a great experience when you get out there and play on a field and march right over it, almost like a nirvana of sorts. It feels really great to be out there on the field.

It feels even better to actually see others on the field.

I love going to contests, whether it be in or out of the high school band. I've been to a few Drum Corps competitions sitting in the stands (amazing stuff live, Drump Corps), and a BOA competition (I have the ticket to prove it, too), as well as two competitions with my high school band. It feels so great winning a trophy.

Also, I once ate a taco.

It was awesome.

This thread assumes that people here have lives, though.

My football team made it the semi finals where we faced a bunch of pompous defending champs. Their QB (solely responsible for their win) wound up ejected with two minutes left in the fourth. Our spineless high school athletics commission decided to allow him to play in their final game, despite the fact he should have been suspended from it. The entire game he was trash-talking us, and the refs were out to lunch that day (Though this isn't to say we never took advantage of that either). After watching the film from the game, he had a good three or four other penalties that went uncalled.

Had the refs done their job right, he would have been ejected some time back during the second quarter. At the least, the appeal should not have passed. Either way, the team they're facing next week will eat them alive though, so I suppose it's better because now nobody can complain the game wasn't played with even teams.

In short; I'm pissed off at those refs.

I do look forward to watching that arrogant prick get broken in half in the championship game...
