1. Name change.

I don't know what that would be. But it should definitely not be board2. That is a really boring name.

2. Domain change.

If not 1, then at least change the domain. Who cares about google crap? It's clearly not helping so far, is it?

3. Friendly atmosphere.

Less "fuck you idiot shut up and die" sorta posts from everyone, just because someone doesn't know something that's perhaps a little simple to others.

4. Front page.

"It's in the works". Take it out and finish it, then.

5. More community events.

Omi was on to something with "board2 game tournaments". Perhaps people need some motivation, like some sort of prize? Don't know what that would be.

6. Change.

The image of this place is pretty stagnant. Like an old chair. It fits nicely, but it doesn't spin, and the leather is ripped on one side.

And as far as tournaments go, it'd be best if it was in games or whatever where everyone could take part, not just people with a specific game or with hardware capable of X (to a degree- if someone's still running Win3.11 we can't really help them there).

7. More normal users taking charge of things like tournaments.

I know that's not really something that I can suggest to staff. But still.

How is it any off? The only thing you need to keep in mind is that the relative font size needs to be set to 80 (profile setting).

(Also, there are a few differences here and there that are simply based in board2 having a quite different shell)

No, it's not.

Try looking at the source in archive2. The only Verdana there is is the small font, and we have that too.

Edit: When you post a new thread, put $_POST['title'] in place of "the thread" when you get given the redirection notice.

Edit2: We also need some more forms of attainment. Like, badges, or trophies. If you call this bloat you are an idiot and one of many reasons board2 isn't at its best.

And as far as I can remember, this board was unique because of the mix between ROM Hacking and cool chat, not stupid threads taking over. If the general chat goes on tipping the scale, this board will be condemned to fade into the void...

The rationale behind taking in the Fraxy community so readily was in part that the spirit of the whole Fraxy modding scene is considerably similar to ROM hacking, so I would hardly deem those threads "unrelated".

But yeah, I agree that we could use more ROM Hacking related discussion around here. It's a shame to see projects like ToS practically dead/starved out of contributions.

How's the Frontpage "getting old"?
