Well, I think I might have burned some bridges.
I'm trying to start at the overworld, and have a few stars take you to the different worlds. However, attempting to do this has a few screw-ups. Apparently, trying to put in the exit index and the destination sometimes would cause it to just revert to what it had before, but sometimes, it doesn't revert. When this happens, then the star doesn't take me to where I want it to. Trying to go back to the overworld to fix this shows that the option for Yoshi's Island has been replaced with overworld. Is there anyway to fix this? Oh, and yes I do have a backup, but the same thing happens to the backup. ____________________ "This Island Earth can be yours, if The Price is Right!" -Tom Servo |

I seem to remember having difficulties with that. Anyways, what I found worked was creating both stars/pipes, then with one star setting the exit index, but leaving the destination index alone. Then I'd go to the other star, set both indices, then finally fix the first star, not sure if that'll help you. |

That doesn't seem to work. When I set the index, it'll revert to the previous settings the instant I click OK.
Also, sometimes, the destination or exit index I use gets replaced with "overworld." ____________________ "This Island Earth can be yours, if The Price is Right!" -Tom Servo |

Copied from the LM Help manual:
Rather than get into a long explanation of the coordinates and how the dialog links the two tiles, just carefully follow this procedure to re-link any two star and/or pipe tiles: (Just make sure to sort out which two indexes you're going to use ahead of time.) · Select the first tile, and enter this dialog. For the Exit index to use, select the first index you're going to use. Set the Destination exit index to "No Setting". Hit ok. · Select the second tile, and enter this dialog. For the Exit index to use, select the second index you're going to use (must be different than the one you used for the first tile). Set the Destination exit index to the first index you’re using (the same one you set for the first tile). Hit ok. · Select the first tile again, and enter this dialog. You can now set the Destination exit index to the second index you're using. Hit ok. And that's it. The two tiles should now be re-linked to one another. |

Well, now the star works just fine. Sort of.
I can get Yoshi's Island to the overworld to work just fine, but from overworld to Yoshi's Island, it sends me to the very top left of the map, no matter what I make the exit index for either of the stars (even if I set it to something that has nothing to do with either worlds.) ____________________ "This Island Earth can be yours, if The Price is Right!" -Tom Servo |
