When I was in elementary school, our gym teacher had a farm and he would bring about five eggs to school every year and put them in an incubator in the library. It was always a huge event when the chicks hatched, and everyone came up with their own names for the chicks. They were extremely cute.

You know? They're not really all that annoying! We have one rooster and a ton of chickens (full grown), and the rooster crows A LOT, but its not a big deal once you get used to it. And the hens give us lots of eggs! We get like anywhere from 5-13 eggs a day (during the heavy laying season which i think is like march to september).
Oh yeah, and OF COURSE the chickies are cute! Heehee you should see them in the awkward phase in between chick and grown chicken. They look so funny :-D

There's.. uh.. no way I can look like a glass of beer that I can think of..

But in a few months time I will atleast have a t-shirt with the same logo (which is featured on the glass). But this thread most likely won't be alive by then...

A few years ago when I took bio, we got a bunch of eggs and watched them hatch, raised them for about 2 months, and all that fun stuff. It was soooooooo much fun, and they were so damn cute I nearly died. But my teacher said that the roosters were far too annoying to adopt as pets, and that once the baby chicks grow into hens, nobody will want them because they're not as cute and they get annoying. The whole experience has made me absolutely love baby chicks (as you can see by my avatar and my old layout which I can no longer use

), and I've considered getting one as a pet in a few years.
Of course, I don't live on a farm or anything, so if I did get one it would have to be an indoor pet (which isn't unheard of), but it may increase the annoyance factor.

Can we switch lives for a day so I can play with the chicks
