I had never fully understood your story for the bosses, I wasn't sure if you were playing the good or bad role. Now I think I understand better. Excellent job as always. =)

But I don't have any evidence to prove this. Cool way to think about it, though, sorta.

Although original Acala's first form was indeed humanoid, the true form is the "crystal". So justjake's point of view is also somewhat correct.

To begin with, Acala was inspired by the final boss of Radiant Silvergun and Ikaruga, The Stone-Like.



In Ikaruga he appears only in crystal form but in Radiant Silvergun, Stone-Like takes many different shapes such as phoenix, whale, turtle and humanoid before actual final battle.
Humanoid phase is also known as Xiga.


But there is more to this. Most of you know by now that my bosses are often named after Buddhist deities. Well, this detail was also inspired by RS/Ikaruga. It turned out "The Stone-Like" is actually a translation error - more accurate translation would be "The Immovable One" which is a clear reference to one of the Wisdom Kings, Acala...

The true final boss of my Fraxy series.
If you found SD-99 aka Birth, one of my earlier bosses, disturbing, you may not want to battle this thing.
Nevertheless, I'm proud of how well it turned out and it sure does deserve its place as the final boss of my seriers.

Am I one of the only people who doesn't find this creepy in the least?

I really like how it makes kind of a full circle with Birth (and how people find that disturbing is beyond me). I can understand some people maybe being a little weirded out by it, but it doesn't bother me in the slightest.

This boss, and especially the video you made, with its presentation and music, is beautiful. A work of art.

And though I'll miss not having any new Ebo bosses for a while, take a good break. You've definitely earned it with this series, and this boss in particular.

yes. And mind you, Birth was just a show, but Sakra-Devanam turns into a FETUS. WHO'S FACE STARTS TO COME OFF. However, the final form is great.

Ebo, that boss is amazing, how'd you create some of the effects/attacks in it (moving [outside the largest barrier/inside the smaller barriers] [hurts/stuns] the player)?

Last view: 5129 days 		It's very simple actually. I just set Energy Eggs' Connection as "Player". Then I just adjusted barriers' events so that Energy Eggs would stop/play depending on player's distance. I also utilized this with boss' shockwave attacks on second and third form.
