There's a patch out (20090715beta_patch), get it here!
It seems to fix some editor glitches and adds more options for setting the level of graphical detail / sounds.

- NEW FEATURE: Connect type: Axis
The part slides up to your distance from its parent part. Somewhat like Response "Youkai Polygraph", but in both directions (forward and backward)
- Button added to Editor to show/hide invisible parts
-Faster loading time of files in Editor

NOTE: This version has a bug in the editor that prevents you from copying anything.

New patch out: 20090806beta

Fixes an error with the Player(axis) connection type.
Fixes something with the PLAYERSHIP and POWERUP functions in try files.

The copy-error mentioned by Oneshiningstar is still present.
Edit:
Another patch has been released, fixing the copy-error.

something with the POWERUP function.


Before, custom powerups wouldn't work in try files (You'd only get the first number as a single-item powerup). I can only assume he fixed it. Huzzah!

Things to be implemented in next version: (note: basing off google-translate, so it might not be quite exactly like this)
- New "Parameter"/event to change the sound-effect of an enemy weapon
- Bug related to head core "flash" fixed (???)
- "Plate line [589] fixed."
- "Fixed a bug that caused an error when trying to add a template"
- Bug related to "setting an axis" in the editor fixed
- Added a "chore"(???) window to the editor (rarely-used options go here (I think?) (???))
- Configuration of *.fed files changed (not sure what exactly he means there, I guess .fed files work/look differently now if you open them in notepad/etc):

Configuration of the enemy or the readme notes may be helpful or if you like.
Note: Can not load correctly when trying to load a file with an older version of Notes.

- The editor plays sound effects now
- Target arrow/markers (red or yellow) can be set that will point to the event'd part(s) if it goes offscreen; also:

The display has an arrow on the screen edge to edge of the Configuration Options screen / might be to switch around your ship.

I wonder if that "template bug" is the one I've been experiencing where you have to save first before adding to the Temp Template. I wonder if he'll add anything else in the meantime.

New version is out and there's lot's of things added including a new Sound Effect Effector, a new ship type (Bullet Hell), and some bug fixes (including the aforementioned one).

Barrier reflect flag.
Part reflect and block flag.
Custom projectile expam.
Pity barrier is not 360 degrees, or it could be a reflect flag for weapons.
