Seems that the new connect type update has been cancelled and replaced by a new "Middle" connect type.
According to the description, it acts like a rubber band - if the part is too far, it swings back.

The new effector is probably named Sword Effector.
A sprite ID or HSL number can be used to set fill.
Extra Params will probably include size, length, sprite, trail width, length. Essentially, a lot of expams.

Mon released a new version of Fraxy. Aside from the (apparently) anticipated sword effector, we now have:
-New parameters for Energy Eggs and Missles
-New Connection Types (Midpoint and Pointer)
-A Player Move Angle Panel
-New effectors (Reduce, Enlarge, Spark 2)
-New parameters for Shockwave, Thunder-line, Thunder-stream, and Spark (Same link as Reduce and Enlarge link)

Discuss.
And yes, all the links are .feds, so you can experiment with them.

Hmm... Pointer seems to be equivalent to a switch of parent parts.
Can't figure out Midpoint.
And yes, I put "Energy egg that blows up only when you destroy it" in the wishlist, and it's finally here!
Reduce, Enlarge: What it says on the tin. Renders increasingly large/small sprites
Spark 2: Like Spark, but shrinks sprites.
New Expams for effectors are great, especially &256 (self-loop)
Some new sprites added for multi-colour shockwaves.

Just to keep the record, here is the process to generate Extra Parameters on the shrapnel of Energy Eggs and Missiles:

In order to do this, you need two parts. One is either Energy Egg or Missiles, obviously. The second is another part, one that doesn't normally have Extra Parameters (eg. Wings, Decorations, Block, Tank).

Step 1 - Make the EE/Missile Extra Parameters as normal.

Step 2 - Create a "Set Up Pair Parts" and link it to the second part.

Step 3 - Make the Extra Parameters for the shrapnel of your choice and put those on the second part.



I've done some experimenting.

On the pair part, Extra parameters 1-4 and 8 for bullet-like weapons can be used.

When the parameters are used, setting extra parameter 5 to 0 (all-round burst) results in a single ring of bullets instead of two staggered rings of bullets.

A demonstration can be found here.
(Note: It's 2 energy egg parts. 1 egg alone can't create the criss-cross circle)

As the remote blast now uses the shrapnel extra parameter set, it can also
use those parameters.

In the process of making one update per month the default

Hello, good evening, another month has gone over. Here's the current state of affairs.

Around the end of last month, my graphics card has gone to meet its maker. Some 3D-related stuff having no impact whatsoever on FRAXY became quite troublesome.

I checked out @の溜まり場("@'s gathering place") for the first time in a while and found out that ToME 3 is no more and has now become ToME 4. I'm slightly at loss. (TL note: The original expression he uses is "a light Polnareff situation", which Google told me is a Jojo's Bizarre Adventure inspired meme/slang expression for "a situation where you don't get what's going on at all")

As far as Fraxy is concerned - although it might seem that I spend ages fixing bugs, it feels like it's stuck in a state of stagnation with stalled engines. (Bad attempt at semi-literal translation of idiom.)
I wonder if I can do anything about this "motivation" thing that I never seem to have when I need it but overflow with when it doesn't matter.

Mon added invert effectors, grayscale effectors (both of which I'm too lazy to explain what they do at the moment), and apparently try events (from what I hear).
