Who are your favorite video game composers of the past and present decades?
I expect there are a lot of Koji Kondo and Nobuo Uematsu fans here?

My list is as follows:
80's - Rob Hubbard (Populous, International Karate, Commando)
90's - Alexander Brandon (Jazz Jackrabbit 2, Unreal, Deus Ex)
00's - Hideki Naganuma (Jet Set Radio, Sonic Rush)

Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono*, Xenogears) and Hiroki Kikuta (Seiken*).

Most of Uematsu's soundtracks seem uninspired and overrated to me...

Mitsuda used to be a lot better. Now all his shit sounds the same. SoundTEMP is definitely better.
So a small list:
1. SoundTEMP
2. Yasunori Mitsuda
3. Kow Otani
4. Nobuo Uematsu
5. Falcom Sound Team jdk

Ah, don't forget Capcom Sound Team and Michiko Naruke.

In no particular order:

Motoi Sakuraba.
Yasunori Shiono. (Lufia II for example)
Noriyuki Iwadare.
Jeroen Tel.
Jason C. Brooke.
Matt Gray.

This is composers I like aside from the obvious Kondo and Uematsu.

Ah, yes. Monty on the Run. I have a CD with arranged C64 themes that I got from a game magazine I subscribe to.

This is a great tune composed by Martin Galway.

And here is Ocean Loader 4.

I forgot to add Sakuraba to my list. Oh well.
If we're adding doujin music to this, S.S.H. is number 1. Then PHOENIX Project.

That guy who did most of the Final Fantasy music.

Also, Sukasa, rename the thread ("yor" --> "your").
