I just think all those "useless" images and post layouts are what makes Acmlm boards unique, and a real place of happiness compared to boring PHPbb and vBulletin boards.

No, haha. I meant NightKev. I whole heartedly agree with you. However, this is in no sense an Acmlmboard, as much as it seems it. Nor do I think we should head in that direction. Minipics are still a good idea, but I have different motivations for thinking so

Oh, sick nit-picking burn.

An acmlmboard is by common conception, 0.8 to 1.B0. Anything after that doesn't bare the same production name, or even any similar code. It's not an acmlmboard in the same sense as the ones released to the public are.

Edit: Oh, I'm wrong. However, I'm sure it didn't say Acmlmboard at the bottom of the page before ... :\

Even a complete code rewrite would just make it a 2.0 version.
In my opinion it is the style that makes this an Acmlm board.

The copyright notice was introduced with all the mentionees' consent when I first started using the software on boards that didn't have enough of a connection here for the residents to know the used software.

Also, as far as Slimesmile's point about the "useless" things being a part of what Acmlmboard is, I suppose I have to take that point... but, on the other hand, I wouldn't call an IPB, phpBB or vBulletin exactly "clean". On the contrary, I always preferred Acmlmboard against those because I found its interface to be much cleaner and more content-oriented as opposing to the fancypants phpBB or the so-overloaded-that-it-is-a-pain-to-find-the-actual-posts-and-links-in-a-page IPB.

Personally I'm neither against or for the concept of minipics, but I am defiantly interested in knowing:
Who wants it
Who would care less
Who would find it annoying

Acmlmboard 2.0 relies on register_globals in a lot of places, like polls for example. And probably posts. Infact yeah, it uses $message instead of $_POST['message']. Just clearing that up

No one is going to make minipics that look even slightly decent against more than one background, and it's going to ugly up the forums. Just look at post layouts: They all suck, so I have them disabled. I would only even be slightly in favor of doing this if I could similarly not view minipics.
