Try it out here!

I really hadn't tried it enough to decide if I like it or not (might seem rather simplistic compared to most other web browsers). All websites I visited so far with it have been rendered perfectly, and the only complaint I heard about this browser is that it's bit of a resource hog.

And it's BSD licensed too (most of it at least, some minor parts are in GPL) , which might be intresting for developers...

Google is becoming the Acme Corporation of the internet more and more every day...

"The same thing we do every night, Larry—try to take over the world."

How well does that browser handle SVG and PNG transparency? Any support for SVG animations?

As far I see, it does PNG transparency fine...

However, still need to check if it does SVG animations and SVG transparency.

Edit: It doesn't do SVG animations, but the SVG transparency seems to work fine. I wanted to try to take the Acid3 test with the browser, but Acid3 site seems to be down...

I took a picture of it.

Despite passing more tests than Firefox 3, it actually fails some tests that Firefox 3 does perfectly. Hmm.

Incidentally, it doesn't pass Acid2 either; the nose is a pixel off.

That's not a good test. This is a better test.

Besides, it would be extremely shocking if it doesn't pass PNG.

It's hideous. I don't care how innovative it may or may not be, unless someone makes a Windows XP (in Windows 98 style) skin for it, I ain't havin' it!

It's not half bad, but I'll stick with Firefox for the time being.

It's a google product.

You have to wait a really long time in other words.

They should just help out Mozilla in developing Firefox...

Meh, I don't really care for beta's either. I knew a Google browser would happen sooner or later . I may try it when a stable version is released.

I will still stick to Firefox no matter what. It's safer than IE and Safari. There's this little plug-in for Firefox, it's called Ad-Block Plus. It's pretty self-explanatory, But it also blocks ad's that download viruses on your computer, so that's good too.

I'd stick with Firefox too... if it worked on my computer.
As it is, I'm stuck with Opera (which isn't that bad aside from semi-frequent freezing and cache problems).

That happened to me once, When I kept clicking Firefox, it wouldn't start. What I did to fix it was that I ran the uninstall program, and before you uninstall it, there will be a check box reading "Remove my Firefox personal data and customizations." I checked that and then when I reinstalled it, it worked.

For me, Firefox stopped working when I did a system restore on my computer

I think there was something wrong with one of my add-ons that prevented it from starting, because when you uninstall Firefox without checking that box, it only uninstalls the program, it doesn't erase your add-ons and customizations.

So if you are having the same problem that I had, maybe you should try it.

I'm not, and I tried removing every bit of data on my computer related to Firefox and started over with a clean copy, still didn't work.

Well I used it for a bit.

Decent attempt at a browser, but still lacking some major features. Like bookmarks.

I like the startup speed, but it is pretty featureless. Also I can't use it on w2k, so... :-\
