Hey, it works! For now you have to make a build from their git repo but it should ship in the next release.

Wine 1.1.4 is out now. It should work in this version.

I didn't think Lunar Magic worked in Wine.

Ah well, the things you learn....

They only just got it working. Used to be, everything would be drawn in a section only a pixel big due to some bizarre method of drawing FuSoYa used.

It didn't until now.

...which is the entire point of this thread.

Yes.

I see that.

So much for 'improving post content'.

No, I'm not.

I'm just stating that his post was useless, and in another thread he complained about useless posts.

What about yours, hmm?

Anyway, at least they've (the devs of wine) finally figured it out. :V

Hey Levesque? BBS had a point, and hsi post wasn't useless. Beyond that, it's -our- job to deal with posts, not yours.

Nah, read the fix details. WINE just wasn't doing proper checks for maximized MDI windows. Seems they were doing it correctly a long, long time ago, then later messed it up (regression).

This is the sort of silly bug that reminds me why I'd take virtualization over WINE anyday.

Virtualization is terrible for a lot of stuff. Little/no graphics acceleration, whether it be 2D or 3D, hard to import/export files, the memory/CPU footprint of another OS and computer, but yeah, you are usually guaranteed something will RUN (as long as it's not a modern game).

I like seeing how wine is actually improving a ton in the past 2 years. It'll never replace Windows completely, but it's just hope that I don't ever have to drop everything I'm doing and have open and restart Windows just for some game or program.
