Windows 1.0
Windows 2.0
Windows 3.1
Windows 95: Part 1, Part 2
Windows 98
Windows Me

Windows NT 3.1
Windows NT 3.51
Windows NT 4.0
Windows 2000 (NT 5.0)
Windows XP (NT 5.1): Part 1, Part 2
Windows Server 2003 (NT 5.2)
Windows Vista (NT 6.0) -- Coming soon? (I'll probably install it on my laptop directly, there's hardly a point to demoing Vista without Aero, which requires 3D acceleration)

It's entertaining enough, but you really need to get a new mike, I have the sound turned up almost all the way and I'm still having some issues.

Uploaded a Windows 3.1 video now, though it might be an hour or so until you can actually view it...

Whoa, Windows 1.0 -> 2.0 isn't that big of a upgrade, but when you look at 2.0 -> 3.1, its a HUGE difference.

Levesque: It's the difference that arguably made Windows capable of taking the market in a storm.

chungy: Interesting work there; I've never seen 1.0 in action before myself.
What would really interest me is having a look at 1.0/2.0's API code, to see how much of the awful design of the later versions is bulk they took along from a that early point.

Well, Win32 carries from early OS/2, later Windows NT when MS forked OS/2 as their own.

I've decided I'll do a Windows NT 3.1 video next, putting the versions in the order of release, regardless of weather they're built on DOS or not. The new video should be later today... it doesn't take a whole lot of time from recording to uploading; just clean up the audio, make sure it's still synced with the video well enough, and upload.

Windows NT 3.1 video up (well, actually it was up last night, but this board has a stupid double-posting restriction)

Most people I know had Windows 3.1 as the first Windows version. Then PC's started to sell increasingly more with the cheap IBM PC clones coming around.

In fact, I've met people who have been shocked to find out Windows even existed before 3.0.... "You mean there were versions before the third major version?!"

Well, there was no NT 3.0 or below...

(Yes, I reckon this is a cheapskate statement since they obviously intended to integrate it into the "main version line" by numbers)

Good job as always on the videos.

Just watched the Windows 95 video quickly.

Man, the Microsoft Office toolbar... I remember using it on my 486.

Windows XP, 2003 videos up. Now the question is, is Vista worth enough hassle to bother installing?

I think it is, especially since I personally hadn't tried Vista itself... just a pre-beta release.
