lol, Alf! Unfortunately, every time I hear someone mention Alf, I think of this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iMGnmZszN0

@Yakibomb
I see what you mean about the back of my Koopa Bros. heads being a little flat. Unfortunately, there are no sprites of Sky Troopas or Terrapins facing in the 4 cardinal directions, so the heads were drawn pretty much free hand. Ugh
That new version of Lazy Shell is pretty darn impressive. I'm glad to see that importing graphics is so easy. I plan on having a level in my hack that will be based on Earthbound. Being able to export graphics directly from the game makes it a lot easier though. Man, making hacks is really time consuming, but it's stuff like this that makes me want to make time for them.

@M.E.R.
I can see old looking koopas being useful. I plan on having Koopa Village be an area in my hack, and as such I could use the Koopas that live there, like Koopa Koot, Kolorado, Kolorado's wife (why did they never give her a name?), and maybe even some old looking mayor koopa. Heck, even Bombette could be thrown into the mix.
About uploading sprites, it would be VERY helpful to me if they were uploaded with proper width and height and only using 15 colors. If it's too much trouble though, I could probably do it myself.
Also, I was thinking of including some other sprites as well, such as Toad Soldiers (from princess peach's castle in Paper Mario), General Guy (I always loved this guy), and some sort of Bob-omb character that looks like he is in charge (i.e. has a general's hat, some badges on his chest and such.)
But more importantly, I'd like to see some Hammer Bros. that are the size of normal Koopas (once again, like the ones from Paper Mario), rather than the big over-sized ones this game already has.

Dang, I've recently moved into a new place and our internet is super slow. It takes forever just to submit a post

"I might have actually been probed by ALF. You might think he's a puppet, never see the lower half, but there is a lower half." Hahaha, that's so funny!

You moved away? Well I hope you're doing alright where you're living at now.^^

Wow, that's a lot of sprites you seem to be needing, but I'm sure I will be needing some myself once I finally get started with the hack. There is still so much I don't know in the program and I would really appreciate your help. If you use Bombette, Im wanting to improve her a little first, if possible, and hehe I also had doing General Guy in mind. Hammer Bros. in normal size? That sounds great! I agree, they are way too big compared to regular Koopas, totally out of proportion. Then again, that's like that in more cases, like Valentina was in Toadstool's size, but in the boss battle she's bigger then the whole team.

I think this is what you could need for your hack, actual molds like these:

The images I've uploaded before were .gif and not the right width and height, but these should have the right format and width/height because I actually uploaded them into the Lazy Shell program and exported them again. Without counting transparent as color, these Koopas only have 12 colors.

Why I did that? In Wikipedia/Mariowiki I saw that the Koopa Bros. have a few more colors, for example Red Ninjakoopa has a red shell but green gloves and a green scarf which you can see below, so I tried having a smaller amount of colors which enables me to give these Koopas different outfits too.

I tried making the sprites as similar as possible to the originals, but you wouldn't have to use my Koopa Bros. if you don't want to. Or you could share me the animations you have for yours and I give my Koopa Bros these movements and we both could use these Koopa Bros.^^

I also have Koopa in different colors:

And I have Dark Koopa as well:

I still need to make Kolorado's wife and animate a few more Koopas, but I can upload these molds in here later. If you write a reply before I have them uploaded, I'll write you a new reply with them in it. If I finish them before you write a reply, then I'll update this one and display them in here.

Kooper:

Kolorado

Koops (Paper Mario TYD, man he was tough to make!)

Koopley (Paper Mario TYD):

I'm also posting my Koopa Bros. as molds with walking animation so you can see them better and perhaps try them out. If you like them, you could go with these and like I said, you could share me your animations for yours and I'll try giving these your movements.

Ninjakoopa Green (walking + mad/enemy expression):

Ninjakoopa Red (walking + mad/enemy expression):

Ninjakoopa Yellow (walking + mad/enemy expression):

Ninjakoopa Black (walking + mad/enemy expression):

I've improved my Punk Koopas and gave them walking animation, let me know what you all think about them. They have no actual names yet, but if you like them that much, you could find some names for them. They seem like part of a rock band to me... Oh and I gave them the shoe color of the other punk so they would look more of a team (sharing their colors) though giving them the same shoe color as their shell enables them to use 3 more colors elsewhere... What would be/look better to you?

Punk 1:

Punk 2:

Punk 3:

Important note!
On Punk 1 and Punk 2 you'll need to check the Y-- button on their standing frame (usually Mold00)! Because of their hair stye I had to position them a little lower to have it in there, that's all there is to it. Punk 3 (like all Koopas) shouldn't have Y-- checked in SPRITES.

And since molds are better than a spritesheet, here are the molds of Shadow Queen!^^

Hmm... I have a question to ask you all...
Do you think the eyes of these Koopas are too small? A guy on the internet thinks the eyes of my Koopas should be bigger. I personally think they look fine, but I wonder what you all think.

Creating a hack can be pretty daunting, but just take it one thing at a time and you can do it. If you ever have any questions or need some advice on something, you can post it here and I and others will do our best to help you out. Hackers gotta stay together

I'm still fine-tuning my sprites to make them look good, but I'll definitely share them when they're ready to go. It may just be easier to use yours. Plus, yours seem to use less colors than mine so I could include the green gloves and such just like you said.

I don't like revealing too much about a hack I've really barely started, but I also planned on having the Glitz Pit from TTYD make a comeback. Those punk koopas would make a good team to fight against.

By the way, I think your Koopas' eyes look fine to me.

I'm glad you didn't think those eyes were too small, I think making them any bigger would actually make their heads look too big! I understand when you don't want to reveal that much before you really got started.^^

Okay, you'll do that and perhaps show me these animations so I could adjust my sprites to look that way, but still have the same amount of colors. ^^

Thank you for offering me your help! I think once I have enough sprites and ideas for the hack, I may want to go ahead and start the hack, but I will surely ask you to help me get started on using the program!

Hehe, guess I've answered everything from the bottom up.
I'm not done yet though.
Hope the images I send before were any use for you, I uploaded only molds this time and tested all of them out in Lazy Shell to see if their colors work and some actually in the game. You were talking about Hammer Bro in smaller size or Koopa size, well I tried editing a Koopa of mine and make it look like one, tell me what you think:

The first one has its mouth open, the second one has it closed and the third one is holding a black hammer like the newer Hammer Bros. you see in games like Super Mario Galaxy(2). The black hammer might be hard to see on a dark background, hope you can see it alright. Well? What do you think? Are they good or do they need adjustment? Or do you think I should rather have him wear a black shell, no shoes and a black hat, like the SMRPG version?

Here's one more with an adjusted mouth and skin color that differs from the shell so the skin is sticking more out.

If I give the skin an extra color like I just did, however, he can't open his mouth because I have no more colors left (like red for a mouth).
Here is an image that might show the character better:

Oh boy, if you're curious, I'm furious! Not at anyone online, I'm just fighting with that b***h that calls herself my mother. I'd rather have a stepmom than a woman that tells me that I'll be a failure when I go back to the states (which I'm planning to do for a while now) and live under a damn bridge. Guess who won't, and I promise that too, won't get my phone number when I'm back in the states. But that's not the topic in here, just let me know what you think about the Hammer Bro and if I need to make adjustments.

Some time has passed again and since I don't see a new reply yet, I'll post what the same Hammer Bro looks like more similar to the SMRPG version (though it still has a black metal hammer):

He actually has one color left, by the way.
Maybe you can see him better in here:

The Koopa's shell can actually shine more like Terrapin (all Koopas, except Koops perhaps), but I'm not sure what looks better...
The left (current) or the right (more Terrapin-like)?

Seems I'm still here by myself, so I tried creating a new character for SMRPG! =D
She appeared in Paper Mario before. What do you think about Crazee Dayzee?

She isn't animated yet, but I want to be sure that she looks alright before I do that.^^
And she is as tall as Mallow, in case you all were wondering, so in SPRITES (Lazy Shell) set the size to 32x24 just like Mallow.

Those hammer bros look pretty good! I must say I do like the black shell and helmet better than the green. Super Mario Galaxy 2's Hammer Bros. are kinda meh. Now it may just be me, but yours look a little off to me. The hammer looks odd, I don't know if it's just too small or if it looks odd because it's at a weird angle or something, I don't know. Also, again this may just be me, but the shell looks disproportionate to the head. It looks like the head is a little small. Maybe it's just the helmet that sort of gives it the feel of being small, I don't know. Overall, it's certainly better than anything I could do.

I love the dayzee, by the way! Once again, I was thinking of putting dayzees in my hack to replace those weird flowers that already exist. All it needs is some walking, singing, and maybe some knock-back animations for when you hurt it and it'll be good. You just keep reading my mind

I'm glad you like them so far , and yeah, they look in black much more "badass" than the green shell ones. =P Hmm... I think I can see what you mean, their heads really do look a little small compared their body and helmet... I think I have to change that a little more. You also think the hammers look odd, eh? Well they are pretty small... perhaps I try a few, have a selection to choose from.^^

I'm so glad you like the Dayzee! I may update the standing one when I find some problems on it, but other than that I guess I could try to animate them.^^ I should also try go have more colors for a selection, like a purple, one blue, one yellow, etc. Dayzee.^^

And um, what about the Koopa shell (regular Koopa)? I have two Koopas side by side (previous post of mine), where the back of the shell is either my version or more original Terrapin version, which one looks better? I ask that because if I can improve that shell, it could improve all the Koopas.

Both koopas are pretty similar, the difference is pretty negligible. I would go with the one on the right just because it adds a bit more color variety I guess.

Hmm... yeah, I can see what you mean, it does look good having more colors...
I didn't do anything new yet because I had problems with my paid webspace thingy. Their server was down and now I can't view my own page, but for some reason can access the files through FTP so I took everything and uploaded it to a free webspace thingy to see if it works. Apparently everything is working. The forum, chat and the wiki I got for that "SMRPG World" group on deviantART. After I've done more tests and made sure everything is working properly, I'll get back on making sprites, or adjusting them.

I'm writing this so you know what's going on. If you guys have any requests on sprites or so, let me know and I'll try to do some once I'm back in making some!^^

If you want to know how to get a free forum, chat, or wiki (you can download and upload them on your page), just let me know and I can guide you through.^^ Or I just show you later on what I was talking about, when I said "I have all these things for my group" =P

Here are some maps I made a few months ago and never posted (click to enlarge):

Here is a hack I made like a year or two ago with LS 2.x. He even slowly descends from the top of the screen while the music from when Exor descends plays. I'll upload a quick video if I can find the ROM.

EDIT

Just for the laughs and my amusement.

Custom song I made. It's from Super Paper Mario and called Memory 1.
I may or may not use this myself.

SPC Data (.dat) file download: http://acmlm.kafuka.org/uploader/get.php?id=4402 (Just import in audio section of Lazy Shell).
Feel free to use this, or even improve it.
