What happened? This place was so much more active...Some time ago. I don't even remember when I last checked in. Huh. Go figure.

One quarter of the people developed real lives and left, another quarter moved to the Justus board, the third left both boards because of drama, the fourth quarter was never active to being with, and the fifth quarter is what's left...

Meh, I added a fifth quarter for people who overlap categories and never existed to begin with...

I'm currently chomping down on the fifth quarter. I seriously would start posting more or this place is going to start to smell like feet mixed with death.

This place already smells like feet mixed with death.

The one scent you missed is the barbecue.

You know, the one that's been rusting away for the past year and a half. You're smelling it rusting.

I think it's fairly safe to say that we're through the worst now though.

It'd be better if you didn't effectively ban all of the people that bring activity, whether it be drama or not.

I don't know the ins-and-outs of the whole situation, but the way I see it, if Arbe had revealed to the admins the holes he found, I'd say there would be no reason to ban him in the first place. He never caused any major damage with Admin power, and doesn't even have to potential to as a normal user...

I wasn't referring specifically to Arbe. Hurrrr.

So I realize, but he's the most recent of the drama-inducing members.

There's a reason behind having a user hierarchy. Disrupting it for laughs is just annoying. Otherwise I've never had a problem with the guy.

Except he never actually found any holes. He just had Alastor give him access to Cirvante's account and screwed around with a handful of users and threads, then proceeding to pass the access to Legion.

Before that, he exploited an internal leak to obtain the board source code and literally hand it out to half the internet.

If you ask me, he was the by far best riddance we had in a while.

And if it's not specifically him, who else do you mean? MEME?

Well, banning arbe wasn't the best of things to do, but then again, making him staff wasn't either.

The only problems around here is that everyone is friends with other users who are at different boards, which encourage them to move there (Like Jul, for example) which lowers activity.

Then there's all the drama, which is funny, but it also deters people from posting if it's just going to be a shit fest.

Then theres barely no good threads to post in, I declare war died, the brain teasers area is not as active becauses it's the same thing, and not many people post in gaming etc.

Still, it's not completely dead, but it just feels that board is less used because everyone who does post is pretty much in IRC, so discussion of stuff like games and stuff in general is in there rather in the board.

(insert furthur droning)

I'm still here.

But yeah, it seems like a lot of users have just lost interest in posting (and then more lose interest due to the low activity, lowering activity more, causing more to lose interest).

Furthermore, I agree that there aren't many good threads.

Except he never actually found any holes.

My mistake, I thought that was how he viewed the staff threads. I'm not so far out of the loop I didn't know how he got admin access, but I presumed in the other instance he knew a hole or two.

As for jul, I've never liked that place as well...
Perhaps it's because I I like the inclusiveness of this board, or I'm still pissed off that jul formed to be a competitor. Either way, I'm not as fond of the place.
