Im going to get rid of it, but before I up and delete it i'm going to need a replacement

Any sugestions?

Use AVG Free Edition for your Antivirus, and try ZoneAlarm for your Firewall

I use AVG aswell but I got Kerio Personal Firewall as FW. Kerio will keep whining about certain programs it doesn´t recognize unless you allow them to get through, though.

I use ZoneAlarm for my firewall and it allows you to remember "allow" and "deny" settings. I disabled the error reporting by telling ZoneAlarm to block dwwin.exe.

It's annoying when an alert pops up in the middle of a game though.

For free antivirus, I've tried AVG, Avast, and Bitdefender. Bitdefender was definitely the best of the 3, AVG the worst. Bitdefender 8 free edition isn't that bad, and the Pro version is hard to beat if you are willing to pay. Right now though I'm using Nod32 and I'm just as pleased with it as Bitdefender Pro.

I use to use Symantec Antivirus, its basically like the old Norton back when they still used version numbers instead years (basic non-bloated gui, and no useless firewall), only with up-to-date virus defs.

Unfortunately, it wont run on my new 64-bit processor.
